I'm sorry, but I'm not hyped about this. I basically lost a massive amount of interest when I heard it was going to be the same game. Really? It would have been nice for them to take a game they've released a bunch of times already and finish it the way they originally envisioned it.
Now, don't go jumping down my throat; this is of course my own opinion. I liked this game on the N64, and I still go back to play it today, but the one thing I ask for in a remake is extra content, not just fancier graphics. The only think I see myself liking is the fact that it looks nicer and it's portable.

I have seen people judge games before based on incomplete information like that, and later proven dead-wrong about what they expected to be the game's faults. This is an OoT remake, for Din's sake. I am not going to assume any tiny little preview sums up the entire game; I intend to see the completed version. Either a playable demo in a local gamestore, or a variety of online reviews, or a helluva lot of YouTube footage of the finished game. That's what it's gonna take.
I don't know about you guys, but I've never played a Nintendo-made Zelda game I didn't like. This being the first full remake a Zelda game has ever received (BS Zelda and Link's Awakening DX don't count), it seems pretty lame to be dismissing it even before it is released, especially if you're doing it in the name of loyalty to the original. Don't be so stubborn.

I gotta agree with Prospekt. The empty field was fine on the 64, given it's limitations, but with the 3DS, there's no excuse. They didn't need to go too overboard, but just something to break the monotony of an empty field. At the very least they could have made it smaller and less of a chore to walk across.
There are secret underground caves, The whole big Poe quest, the running guy, and several other events mostly as adult Link but I had a blast doing those events and only someone who is trying to get 100% will do them.

Plus, if they did "fill" or shrink Hyrule Field, it wouldn't be OoT's Hyrule Field anymore. It just wouldn't.

I'm not saying I won't enjoy it at all, but the fact that we've got solid grounds to believe they won't be adding anything new to a game they've released many-a-times now is seriously disappointing. It may look nicer, but I'd like to play some new stuff in it as well. If anything, when I first heard about it, I was really hoping to see an OoT that Nintendo had originally intended to make from the start, with all the stuff they wanted to put in but didn't have time to. I knew it probably wouldn't happen, but it'd be nice, non?
Anyways, the only thing I really ask for in a remake is extra content. I've personally never seen an official video game remake that didn't add something new like a level, boss, or even an entire alternate story. Just something extra, othere wise I'll just go play it on the N64 again and get some good ol' nostalgia.

Also, ignore the world "probably". This is Nintendo of America, and they have no actual input when it comes to the development of the game. They're saying "probably", "just in case" they might decide to add something down the line. However, that is hiiiiiiiiighlyyyyyyy unlikely. We'd all love it, sure, but new content obviously isn't their goal with this game... if it was, it'd be a new game altogether, and not a remake of a ten-or-so years old game.
Still, there's a chance, even if it's one in a thousand (I literally mean like, 1/100% here, seriously), there is still that one percentage, teasing us with the thought of a new dungeon or two, a side quest here and there and so on. Possible, yes, but will it happen? I say no. I say no, because I am more or less certain already. In fact, I'm tempted to say "It won't happen!" right away, but should they change their minds, I'd look kind of stupid

...But a guy can dream, right?
I second the demand for a Light Temple, for Young Link. I always felt that after you obtained the Master Sword, he was rendered pretty useless. (Excluding the well, but the well was dumb, so it doesn't count. Ahurr.)

The Spirit Dungeon was annoying though.
...but if it's Nintendo of America, and they have no input on the game, maybe they didn't know? No reason to get your hopes down yet!
Plus, why would they wait so long for the game to come out when they've been working on it for such a long time now?
