Wow, seriously? O.o Sorry to hear. Not a PC Gamer then, I take it? icon_unsettled.gif Well, you can get used to it like anything else, I guess. I still can't get used to playing Halo on a Gamepad, but hey, it's the only way to play these days.

If you want to play those midis, when you're on that 403 page, click on the URL in the address bar and hit Enter. If you're already on VGMusic when you listen to the midi, it'll play for you. Works every time for me.

I play a lot of games using my keyboard and mouse but Zelda it is awkward for me. Maybe because I've always used the gamepad to play Zelda. I did say I was going to try and play using the keyboard. icon_rolleyes.gif

On that 403 page like I said all you have to do is look for the word 'here' it is in blue for me as a link. Just click on that and the music starts to play. Either way works great. icon_biggrin.gif

I like the music 'kaspauf' has put up.

Yeah, I like it too, but it's all from the most well known Zelda games. They could fit, but I'd like to see people post more choices up before we all decide on what we want to see, first.

WOW --- Artistic. I'm truly sorry to heard that,,
If this is of any help. I use my keyboard for playing,,Always -- Al my life"
the hint for the floor with roman numbers is ok icon_thumbsup.gif need to take care only at the V..
don't step on the very top of the V,, just a little offset to the right - that will do the trick

Sorry! icon_frown.gif I wrote it down wrong. I'm getting good at that lately. icon_thumbsdown.gif I guess I'm going to have to get my glasses checked. icon_eek.gif I fixed it in the spoiler I did and this spoiler also. That so others don't get the wrong one first before seeing ShadowTiger and get frustrated.

As far as the music all the links to the music go to '403 Forbidden' page you have to look for the word 'here' to listen to them. And then after listening to them then when you click on them again the 'mid' just comes up and starts playing. There isn't any '403 Forbidden' page anymore. Zorlaf link to a music 'mid' was the same way.

Sorry! everyone icon_cry.gif I won't be playing anymore my convertor for my PSOne went out and the only way I can play is with the keyboard. I'm going to try and play by keyboard. Playing using the keyboard is not good for me. It will probably be a couple of weeks before I get a new convertor or a USB joystick.

Problems I found in the Dam.

#1

If Link falls from this position on F-1 to F-2 Link is stuck on the snake (?) head.

IPB Image

IPB Image

Proble #2

If Link pushes the block in screen 1 down instead of up he will be trapped once he activates the trigger. The next 2 screens show this.

Problems with Lake Hylia.

Problem's with Lake Hyllia when Link visits with the bridges and isle present.

#1

Not really a problem, but in both this verision and with the 152 verision I've never found out how to get this heart piece!

IPB Image

#2

There are 2 Magic Shops at whirlpools that are broken. See screens. In the 152 version the shops worked, but the shop on the west side of the lake when Link exited he was trapped so you may want to check the shop exit.

Thanks, Joe. I fixed the bugs in the Dam that you found.

The bugs with Lake Hylia aren't bugs, actually. For one, I have no idea how you got to those Whirlpools, but those are the "Pre-Flood" Whirlpools. They don't lead to warps at all. We're not even supposed to be able to swim in that water before the flood. So I took out the whirlpools entirely. Should solve that little problem.

But that should also indicate to you that you're not supposed to be able to get that HCP that you saw, high up on the cliff, until the Dam floods. You can just swim up and get it then. So yeah, ... do. icon_razz.gif

Oh, those Magic Shop scenes are actually what was on Screen 80. Screen 80 is the default screen that you visit for when a warp doesn't lead anywhere, like those whirlpools. They didn't have a warp attributed to them, (Because they weren't supposed do, as you couldn't reach them at that time in the game's plot.) so they led to that default room, which happened to be a witch's shop. Nothing actually takes place in that room. It's just a placeholder / template for use when the designer is too lazy to make a new room for each kind of house or shop or whatever they want to use.

So yeah, no bugs in Lake Hylia. I just removed the whirlpools. They'll be back when it floods. icon_smile.gif

-----------------------

Ah, those Kanavas bugs. They're more like visual Glitches. C-Dawg decided to use layering like that, I guess. No worries. I'll fix 'em.

#1

In first screen if Link walks west he will be in the 2nd screen and trapped othe lower level.

IPB Image

IPB Image

Link must enter the door on the floor to exit and Link is jetted back to the quest's startup compltete with rain and all.

IPB Image

IPB Image

Well now I didn't upload the rain storm but you get the idea, I hope?

#2

In the first screen Link can become trapped (any number of ways) by bumping into the blocks while trying to figure out the puzzle.

IPB Image

IPB Image

#3

By falling thru the pit on B-1 Link can be trapped in the wall on B-2.

IPB Image

That's all I have for now. If I find more as I play the quest I will let you know. Great job on this conversion !

Enjoy Life!

Thanks - Joe

Thanks very much, Joe. icon_smile.gif Okay, all bugs have been fixed. In the room with the block puzzle, I took out the fireball-shooting statues entirely, and replaced them with Blue Leevers.

In the last bug there, all I could do was shorten the sides of the pit above that floor.

Revised Version, with all of those bugs fixed.

Strange, even now well after Link has completed the dam and won the flippers the game will at times trigger back to the pre-flooded Lake (when I visit I can hear the trigger activating as I move about on the lake) with the bridges and isle. And Link can swim to those whirlpools. It happens in the 152 version too. Reckon I’ll just mark that up as a strange quirk and live with it. It poses no real problem in the game. Although that heart piece haunts me. I have always come up one heart piece short and thought that was the one I was missing. Oh well....

Again thanks for your help.

Thanks - Joe

Did you get the one in the VERY beginning of the game, between where you get the L1 sword, and when you didn't get that one dream crystal in the statue, and went back outside to near your starting house, and started slashing bushes? There's an HCP northeast of your house.

I'll go correct those warps in front of Lake Hylia.

By the way, for those interested, the Bug thread at AGN is here.

Yep, as of this post, every bug that's been posted (Oh lordie I do sincerely hope so) has been fixed, including the "Warp not appearing to go to Link's Nightmare in Link's House" bug. It is a good day.

I went through Mirrors, there is a special place you have to bomb in Mirrors to get outside to fight the boss in the Twilight Garden. My only question is...what was in the chest when I beat that boss?? Have no idea...

Also, be prepared for a colossal pain in the arse when you get to Vines!!!

Yeah, I'm not sure what that is either. There are no connecting boss flags or triggers or room secrets or anything when you get it, either. I'll keep investigating.

I'm using the keyboard now. I've got it fixed up some it is not that bad. It is just that my fingers aren't quite as limber as they use to be many years ago. And the gamepad is easier on my fingers and hands. I'm not complaining just explaining. icon_biggrin.gif

Have fun tonight! icon_biggrin.gif
