I'm finished with the cleanup of everything up to Level 7 in Ganon's Curse now. I fixed every issue, made some things better and changed a few decisions. The only thing that's left to do are bosses.

Next up, I will completely focus on the next dungeons. It's coming along nicely :)

Created a scripted Lens designed to reveal enemies who use ghost.zh. It's far from perfect, but it does get the job done.

Now to decide how I'm going to use this newfound power...

I finished up this town that's going to serve as the hub of my project. It has four entrances/exits, each one leading to a different section of Hyrule field and a different area.

Figured out how to make one-way conveyors functional without scripts, but man, it took some jerry-rigging, for sure. :heh:

I have also narrowed down my "ZC workload" to only three projects at this time, and they are all equal priority (basically, whenever I feel like working on them). I was trying to work on about five, on and off, but decided on cutting some of them off, and re-using stuff for other quests that are better, imo, and more likely to actually be completed.

What are these three projects? One is an old classic quest that was pretty far along, until a hiatus caused by lack of motivation after hitting a certain wall. The other one is a quest loosely based off of the outline, and plot of ALttP in Classic, and the third one is secret at this time, but if it gets done, it will be a different type of quest. Probably shorter than your typical quest, but still should provide some cool concepts. Each project has a large, dedicated document to accompany it, and help me remember stuff in the event that I don't touch one of them for a few months. Despite having a lot of free time, relatively speaking, I don't actually work in ZC as much as I'd like.

Finished beta testing another quest and started getting some things ready for the revival of AR3 (been meaning to get back into this, but I just haven't been bothered).

Finished a boss fight.

Got my dark room script working in both 2.5.0 and 2.5.2 by changing one number. >_>

Finished most of the screens left in the quest.

Finished the outro cutscene. All that's left is the final boss.....

Killed a little time, getting some tiles set up.  Some of the fog overlapping is goofing up transparency tables, so it needs some tweaking, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Finished the final boss for my quest. Clocked in at 3237 lines of bad ZScript code lol. What a wonderful week it's been.

The joys of 8-bit.

I had a scene (for a screenshot contest) where I was trying to do leaf-shadow overlays. I spent way too much time trying to adjust the shadow shade so that the colors of the scene didn't gray-out. And when I tried to do multiple layers of shadows? Forget it.

Just for curiosity, I saved each individual layer to its own image file and recreated the scene in full color with Photoshop layering. Man, it looked great.

And to that extent, I probably won't ever do transparencies unless they're over a scene that's already mostly gray. It just reveals the limitations of the color engine too much, even though the layouts themselves can look quite good and well-designed (as in your screen).

Looking at the quest, that seems like a lot of work for something the majority of players will never actually reach. :P

I tampered with the dark arts again, only this time I may be planning on doing something.
