Just picked up Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. The last PMD game I played was Explorers of Darkness, and a lot has changed for the better since then. Smarter allies, more leniency with escort missions, greater focus on strategy... but the writing so far is utter garbage. I'm getting serious "bullying is OK" vibes from Watchog's treatment of Pancham and Shelmet relative to how he treats my partner. Said partner is also a complete idiot who ignores the obvious solution to every problem (which usually involves telling Pancham to shove it), and I'm constantly railroaded into going along with them. Even though the plot heavily implies I wasn't a kid before being transformed.
Possible early-game spoiler
TL;DR: Game is fun, story is painful.

Currently trying to complete all the games on the Mario All-Stars + World cart, as well as get a gold medal in all the cups in Super Mario Kart. With the former, Mario Lost Levels is probably gonna kick my butt, and with the latter, the Special Cup... I can't even beat Donut Plains 3...

I'm also getting ready for my first Splatfest in Splatoon. Past all the way, baby~!

Was playing and enjoying Dragon Age: Inquisition for PC until this started happening. Specifically the game auto detecting that I have a surround sound setup when I don't, so several sounds are being sent to non-existent speakers/being inaudible which just ruins everything sound wise.

Seems the bug was noticed when the game was released and it has never been fixed, Bioware also never implemented a method of forcing the game to use a user-defined speaker configuration. Currently I'm about to see if configuring Windows to 5.1 audio and telling Windows I only have a Front Left and Front Right speaker to force downmixing to stereo, will work (I expect it to break the volume level of sounds and audio positioning, or to not work at all).

The only potentially viable work around I saw people post on the internet was to load a save game from before the bug happens... which is a shitty solution. i don't want to be at the whim of the game randomly deciding I need to lose progress to undo a randomly occurring bug.

Went back to play Minecraft in the version I started playing in; Beta 1.2_02. Man, is it really terribly optimized! I can't run Fancy graphics at all on it, even if I drop down to Normal view distance. Also, I get a minor lag spike now and then. So I'm playing it on Normal draw distance and Fast graphics. In vanilla. Meanwhile, in 1.8.9 I'm using a draw distance of 12 (in between Normal and Far) with Fancy graphics and everything at or nearly maxed with no lag issues at all. One thing I will say; Beta has better world gen than modern Minecraft. Things just look more interesting. In Official 1.8.9, it's just too busy. It's so jarring seeing all that Andersite, Diorite and Granite everywhere. And the terrain IMO looks like hell. I frequently find myself making 10+ new worlds just to get one I somewhat like. But in Beta 1.2_02, things look so much nicer. Things just feel more enjoyable, despite not having a lot of the conveniences available now. Also, finding out Saplings couldn't be used to fuel a furnace back then was jarring to say the least. I have nearly two stacks of Saplings.

Just waiting for my first mining accident or bad run-in with a mob and seeing all of my stuff gone. I'm so used to having /keepInventory true on because losing your entire inventory is a bit much at times, especially when that Zombie that just killed you puts on your enchanted Diamond Armor and kills you with your own epic Sharpness IV Diamond Sword. Then again, with that rule on, I tend to suicide. A lot. Done mining? Just type in /kill and I'm back at my base like nothing happened. I mean with light death penalties, I don't even care about dying and I'll happily die on purpose. But when it's severe? All the rage of dying sucks, considering it's just a matter of time a Creeper will drop off a ledge and blow you up or you'll accidentally fall into lava. Dying is inevitable; you're GOING TO slip up eventually. Or get just a bit too greedy and/or reckless. Goodness knows greed is my downfall.

I'm completely the opposite. World gen in modern Minecraft looks much better to me. It's more varied, and the andesite, diorite and granite doesn't really bug me at all. All these new terrains and biomes are pretty nice for exploring (also great for that Adventuring Time achievement)

"The witch and the hundred knight" I must admit that the initial impact was not the best , the graphic is not so good and the first level is a bit boring,  but after this the game improve a lot.

There is this young witch who evokes a magic knight, according the legends is a scary enorms being , but it turned out a little thing that looks a little like ' a Heartless, the story seem a bit ' stupid at first but then improves a lot, I'm happy to have played all the game despite initial doubts.

I'm currently playing a strategy RPG called "Stella Glow". So far, I'm loving this game! If you are a fan of Disgaea or FF Tactics, you'll feel right at home with this game.

Just started Axiom Verge yesterday, very interesting game. Visually and gameplay wise it's almost Contra meets Metroid, but the story seems much more interesting. Very curious where it will go.

Also been replaying Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, the redone version on Steam with the Restored Content mod. The touch ups are really nice and the additional content has been welcome so far. A couple of oddities in where they fit lines in, but I'd say it's an overall improvement still.

Finally beat Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. Everything was great about this game except for the combat. The combat sucked imo. I hope Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix improves on the combat.

I'm almost done with Danganronpa: Another Episode Ultimate Despair Girls. I just got beat Chapter 4. Nagisa was such a cool character. Now for the last chapter of the game.

I picked up FF13 again after not touching it for almost two years. I was in the beginning of disc 2 (ch.6?) when I stopped (playing the 'inferior' 360 version, come at me bro) and got to the beginning of disc three (ch.10) in like two days. I like this game, story is cool, and I don't even mind the linearity, I just wish the battles felt more.. I dunno, like you were actually doing something. This game seems a bit on the easier end of the Final Fantasy Spectrum (3, and the original 4 were the hardest, IMO). I have access to all jobs, and all characters, but it is mostly just setting up paradigms, and them hitting auto-battle, and switching between the paradigm as needed. Some have cited this as 'depth' and 'strategy' but it is still pretty easy. I have died a lot, but it was mostly from being dumb, and it's pretty easy to grind in some areas. I like that it heals you after each battle though. It's nice to be able to focus on each battle at once, and not have to worry about losing potentially hours of progress cause you ran out of "Fenix Down" after Cerberus in the Crystal towers, and die on that stupid Dark Cloud.

I've also been playing Super Mario All-Stars. Mostly Mario 3. I played around with Mario 2 ('USA'/ rest of the world that wasn't Japan) since it was my favorite as a kid, but it hasn't aged well, IMO. it feels kind of slippery compared to the other games with much tighter controls, and jump mechanics.

I've also been playing FEZ again too, a little bit. Regardless of how you may feel about its creator, it is a pretty cool game, and it's one of those games you can just sit back and play for hours and get lost in. It's simple, but it is very pretty, and fun to explore.

Been thinking about doing a hero mode minimalist run in LBW. Dunno yet though.

The second game makes the combat a lot more fun, but it doesn't really improve in terms of tactical strategy being important.

The problem I had with the combat in KH1 was the poor camera and laggy controls. I played a little bit of KH2. The combat got a little better but it's still early in the game.

I'm back to playing Romancing SaGa for PS2 and Romancing SaGa 3 on SNES. (My teams are better, Nexas.)
