Finished my first major overworld!! It's about 28 screens, so it's not too much. But I'm still super proud of myself! Time to pick music and continue.

Made my first screens with DoR Hybrid to get used to the tileset and I tried to import Ghost.zh for something I'm going to work on...

 

...there was a lot of horror in trying to get Ghost set up and I still have no idea how it's supposed to be done lol

Spend most of the day importing scripts into a new quest project I'll be working on for a bit. Also got some help from Moosh about Ghost.zh and I've already started getting some scripted enemies ready for the quest.

 

Tomorrow I'm hopefully gonna begin designing the actual quest (at last lol). AR3 is still a thing, but I want a bit of practice with a different tileset and I feel like this is the best opportunity to have a bit of practice with DoR Hybrid.

Fixed some of my mountain tiles, started on the northern half of the map Just basics, for now; elevation, making sure the two maps line up, that sort of thing

Played a bit around with mooshs perm tiered secrets script and tried to make some fireflies. Still not able to sprite. Practical not much progress, but for theorie I finally have one great character thanks to jared, two more to go and I can finally make up a story for my quest.

DOR a Hybrid is a difficult tileset to work with, but if you're as good as Joel, I'm confident you'll do well with it.

That would be an interesting project for sure! Of course, I don't know if I could help, because I've never played this hack before. I guess I should at least take a look first.

Either way, got a few more screens done and the first area of my quest is almost done. Only 5 screens left and then I can progress on with the story.

Finished my Passive Subscreen, and worked on more screens for level 1! I'm excited to build more of it.

I managed to get Joe123's pitfall and lava script working properly. I couldn't find a good sound effect for link falling in lava, so I made one myself, using a combination of the splashing water sound effect from Wind Waker and bacon sizzling with a fade-in and out effect. It came out quite fitting! Just in time too, because I'm working on my third dungeon in my quest: a fire dungeon!
