Oh, you beat MegaZone? That's well done. It's not the easiest place on earth... icon_wink.gif

Now Jish, here comes the info:
QUOTE
1. This pertains to the large dark cave you can access from both a pit in the cave you have to bomb open a couple screens left from the NE entrance, and leads to an area near the Iso Dome. You can also reach it from a pit in the cave you access from that one house in Mega City, and it contains a staircase leading to the Garage. Now that that's settled...
There are 6 screens of this cave I have apparently explored on one file, but not the other, and I have no idea how I reached them. I need to find them again so I can get screenshots and add them to the map. The 6 screens in question are in the SW corner of the cave, below the Garage staircase and to the left of the exit leading to the Iso Dome mentioned earlier.

- To get to the SW area of that dark cave you must access the cave from a small island in the middle of the sea in the west side of the OW map. Place a bomb on the ground and it reveals a secret exit. But to get to the island you need Rush Marine, or at least the surfboard.

QUOTE
2. In the aforementioned cave you bomb open that is near Mega City, I've reached a dead end. In the SW corner, there is a Heart Piece blocked by a few boulders that you can push, but you can't push them out of the way. My question is simple. How do you get over there? I've been around the overworld a good number of times, and I can't find any more secret cave entrances... except that stupid one that's a tile too high on the cliff wall to enter. You know the one I mean. Can you get in there at all? If so, how, and is this what I'm looking for? If not, then where is the other cave entrance that eventually leads to that Heart Piece?

- Hmm... you are talking about the screen with 3 boulders, stairs and a HP? To find a cave access which takes you there, you must go to MC Harbor. When you enter the harbor from the west side, go 1 screen down and 1 right and blow up the crates to reveal a secret cave access.
About the cave that is 1 tile too high, it's just an exit from a cave. You cannot reach it at all during the game so don't worry about that.

Gah, that caused more problems that it solved. I found that cave from the island, which I never knew about before, and found the Gemini Man statue and all that stuff. I would be pleased with this, but another question arises. If I never found that cave before, what where those 6 screens doing on my pause-screen map?

user posted image

There must be some other entrance to that area that I missed after making the map and you forgot about. One of the screens has that "footprints in the ground" tile that suggests you could reach the area but not go back.

As for the Mega City Harbor thing, I blame myself for not being observant enough. Now that I look at the map of the city, I see the cracked ground. I'll check that out later.

And one last comment. I beat the Mega Zone before even entering the Factory level. With 12 hearts, the Gold Armor from the North (that whole thing is messed up, the door just opened without even using a normal key) and the Level 3 Saber from Lapin Town, I blew through it without even using an Energy Tank. I love the Fire Boomerang, although I still have no idea what kind of MM weapon it is supposed to be.

Wow... you must be either a very skillful player or very lucky. That's all I can say. Though I know what to expect in the MegaZone and I regard myself as a quite skillful player, I still have hard time beating it even with 14 hearts, gold armor and 2 E-Tanks... icon_redface.gif
And that Golden Armor garage door bug... yeah. The locked boss door blocks (combo type) don't work in 183 so you can get the armor with no effort, but that's a "positive" bug if you compare it to the one that happens with version 182 where you cannot open the door at all.

About that 6 screen area. Yeah, there must be other entrance to get there... Wait a minute... oh yeah! I'm pretty sure if you go to the Southern OW and to a cave there, you should find stairs leading to that 6 screen area. I hope I remember correctly...

Hey, Petoe. I finished that level 7 finally. The only hard part was the way to the lens. Those Spikes and the bridges were the hard parts. Now in Lab 64 with the Makaro plant I can't seem to advance anymore. I'll provide some pics later one. Also, why did you put a hookshot box near lab 64? One could just hookshot over there, without bothering to do lab 14 and 32. Also, you think I can have the fog from the ? dome, lab 32 and 64, lost villiage, etc. I really like it.

Oh the smoke? Well I'll try to do something about the tileset as soon as I get my computer working properly again.

In LAB 64 you have to find a "hidden" box behind the southern wall somewhere in the middle of that particular lab. (You should see part of it under the wall layer...) Hookshot to it and proceed with the lab.

But you said you can skip the 2 first LABs. How in the world is that possible? Can you provide me some screenies because it just shouldn't be possible... icon_blink.gif

See that box? Well the hookshot can get you over there with the lasers one. That's what I did but I figured I would see more invisible enemies I finished all the other labs.
Found the Box! I just didn't know how to find it at first.

Well I beat the research lab. I somehow knew that it would return. (The Boss). Well I'm at Wily's tower with good progress. By the way. Where did you get the midi for wily's tower? Just curious. I think I heard it before.

Well I finally finished the game. That final boss was very hard to me. The Part with the stractoroks mainly. The part when with the sucking up the enemies was cool. Dr. Wily though was more a of trouble.I have to give this quest a perfect 10. Perfect midis, story, and of course it's dungeons and gamplay. And things that aren't in other quests.

Oh, so you got over the laser beam by hookshotting to that box from where MM is standing in that pic? icon_confused.gif Uhh, well it's another one of those "positive bugs". icon_smile.gif

Oh and gongrats on beating MMDWR. It's a hard game, many people give up even though they like the game. Nice to read you liked the game too and especially the midis and the dungeons. I am very proud of the levels in the game (especially the Factory and Facility). I hope Wily didn't kill you too many times. He deserved what happened to him. icon_wink.gif

He didn't kill me much until I found out I had could use the L3 shadow balde and stun the stalfoses 3. (Laser beams). The Other guy was tough until I found a proper strategy rather than constantly hitting him.

Now there are some spoilers up ahead so don't read if don't want big spoilers

I didn't find the game hard until L4 which was gaint. L3 wasn't hard....Because I had the sliver armor and L2 saber. (Completely worth that secret facility. Even if it was insane.) But finding some keys were hard. Finding L1 wa easy for me since that red sewer place was a bit suspicous. L1 was a bit hard for a L1. L2 was hard also. Mainly the Lynels (Robots). L5 was confusing but not really that hard. L6 had a big difficulty leap. L7....Getting the Lens were a pain and finding out what to do there was hard. L8 was a bit tough too. Mainly from lab 32 and 64 but the Lens Made it seem like cheating. L9 was very well done out. I didn't expect The Pirate Captain to be back. Congrats for making the best quest in the database. (My opinon)

So this Iso Dome is really frustrating me. I've got some keys, I've got bombs and missiles and E tanks. As far as I can tell I've explored everywhere I can, and there's nothing to do. I've explored the top level, there's that computer in the back that opens three doors, and I've gone through all three paths and completed them all, stepping on all the blocks that lower the other blcoks, which I expected would free up my path a little. There's still one door that won't happen, which is straight to the right of the room where you enter the top level and has two of the zelda knight / red shield guys. Killing them doesn't help at all.
It took me a long time to notice the ladder to the lower level, but when I did there's still nothing down there. I have access to three rooms, and I'm blocked in all of them. Nowhere to go. Help???

Well I figured it out.....it's just tricky to tell what's on my level and what's above or below me. Got the power chip.

Okay. Nice that you figured it out on your own. The rest of the level should be a bit more clear, but just that you know, some people miss the broken computer in the downstairs and don't understand that it must be bombed to gain access to a hidden part of the level...

Thanks Petoe, though bombing the broken computer seemed fairly obvious to me. What's bugging me though.....
As near as I can tell I've explored everywhere and pushed every block, and I've only got three digits to the password (4,2,1). Also, I had to use my spare key, which means there's a hard-to-find key somewhere in here. My kingdom for a shop that sells keys!

Any advice?

Matt

Wow, this is some amazing trick....every time I post on the board, I immediately find my answer. I found the 4th digit, but I still don't have that keycard.

heh heh, well I got stuck here too. Well first off find the password machine and have some missiles by now because your gonna need them. and step on the switches nearby the machine. This way you can head right back to it. I assume you found the yellow green and blue by now. red is a bit tricky to find but the nu, gah nevermind. Also if your completely stumped, complete the forest mini level and the insane secret facilty. Not much of a help. Level 3 and 4 are going to stump you even more.

Hey Matt,

if you found all those password numbers then you should probably have access to the password machine. Or is there a locked door somewhere before the shutter and the computer?
oh it's such a long time I've been on that place.

No no, I didn't have any more locked doors in Iso Dome....but at some point I used my skullman key. Which means I missed a key somewhere. No biggie. Now if I could just get to the other side of that wall in the harbor.....
