You ever heard of the saying "Good things come to those that wait?"
Well, whether or not this applies here, is up to you. ![]()

But old people wait so long, then they just die D:

Please stick to it this time, Nintendo...
That sword is pretty damn long, I guess we might be seeing proper horse combat. Also more animal life in the background.

You know what they say about a guy with a big sword...
...He's probably done a lot of grinding.

Surprisingly, that 16 second clip gave us a bit more than people give it credit for, though a lot of it is speculation. For example, the sword is pretty interesting, because it's definitely a two-handed sword, yet it has a lot of wear and tear- the blade itself is chipped a bit and has scratches on it (you have to get a closer look, Shane's image doesn't really show it), and it doesn't have the standard cross-hilt, but has a more makeshift one, kind of like TP's wooden sword. It also looks like it was made from stone, so it definitely doesn't seem like one akin to the Biggoron's Sword. Hopefully this means a return to carrying multiple swords, and perhaps similar to Skyward Sword's shields, where you have multiple kinds for different purposes, rather than just having one be "the weaker one" and "the stronger one". It would be really cool to see Link as a more self-sustaining character when it comes to crafting, possibly able to tinker with his own weapons and gear to improve them, and to include swords with that. Or at the very least, being able to find multiple swords across the world, whether from shops or in side dungeons, and choosing which ones you'd like to use.
Apart from that, a really big detail that I think hints at the story and setting is that there's a square object on Link's belt- possibly a book- that has the Eye of Sheikah on it. This isn't the first time we've seen an eye- the last time they teased the game, we saw Link's shield had an eye design to it. It's definitely not a coincidence at this point. Hopefully, when we get an actual trailer (I'm guessing it'll be right before TP HD releases?), it won't spoil too much about the game, but just hint at some things. Nintendo was really guilty of spoiling stuff for Skyward Sword, so hopefully they won't repeat that mistake.

One little detail I noticed was that Link's blue tunic changed. Compare the recent reveal to the original. Though I doubt it's significant. And you're right about the Sheikah book(?), it's certainly new. It's glowing(?) blue like the arrow we saw in the E3 2014 trailer. This is getting pretty interesting.
Yeah, the clip really does reveal a lot if you think about it. The new shield (or perhaps a redesign?), the new sword and of course the book. Also cape no longer clips through when riding. Speaking of which, I'm hoping you can keep this tunic + cape, cause it's cool and with the amount of grass I think the Hero's Tunic will look a little generic.
Edit: asdfg, mixed up the links lol. nvm

What do you think of the chances that this is a complete overhaul of the first Zelda?
We have a huge open world, and most of the geography is similar. We also have a book, a sword, and a shield. Sword and shield may not say much, but there were only 2 time that a Book was an item in the series (if I'm not mistaken): The Book of Mudora from aLttP, and the magic book from Zelda 1.

Oh yeah, the hooded scarf and blue outfit is something I hope we get to keep. I'd actually be okay with the hero's clothes either not showing up or being optional! It gives Link a much more mysterious look, and implies that he has a reason to conceal his identity. I wonder if he'll actually be a member of the Sheikah...

Admittedly I like the original design a little more, however the new design... is it just me, or does it resemble the Master Sword around the collar?

Link being part of the Sheikah would be really cool! However, I don't want to get rid of the tunic. It's too iconic!

I've definitely thought about this possibility. It would be quite interesting, but I think it's more possible that it's a completely new story and world. I may go so far as to say it's looking like a complete reboot of the series. I'm not sure if this is Nintendo's intention with this title, but I'm kinda getting the vibe from what we've seen that they're trying to to bring some new life into the series after many years of sticking to the same basic Ocarina of Time structure. If this is indeed the case, I'm completely fine with that. I love Zelda, but I must admit that I'm craving something a little more from the series. Something grander, with less restrictions, and more possibility.
