I'm also trying to finish up Valkyria Chronicles. I'm on Chapter 10. 8 more chapters to go. I doubt that I will beat it before January 31st. (FFXIII-2's release date.)

Apart from that I finally unlocked the true final level in Super Mario 3D Land. That was the worst amount of time spent just trying to open it; all gold flags, and beating each level with both bros? Fail, Nintendo. Anyway I haven't beaten the true final level yet, but I actually enjoy it; it tests precision, jump skills, timing, and speed. Granted I died at the end cuz I didn't realize the switch activated letters instead of a path, so I was running along the letters and missed a jump at one letter so I died and couldn't make it back to that point, where I said "I better stop because I'm dying at all the easy parts and am gonna get too frustrated." So yeah, will beat it soon.

I'm toying with the idea of trying out the level editor. Now that they figured out slopes and 3D models, I'm tempted to try to come up with modern-style levels. I don't know exactly how well it'll work out, between level size and difficulty using the editor, so I guess I'll get around to it later.
Other than that, I'm on disc 2 of Final Fantasy VIII. After I finish this game, I can emulate IX, and finally get around to doing X-2. I'm gonna get stuck on my FF Marathon after that, though. My computer can't emulate PS2 games (or at least I haven't figured out how to get PCSX2 to work), and I don't own XII. I don't plan on doing any of the MMO games, and don't own a PS3/360, so XII, XIII, and XIII-2 are out. Shame, I've really been enjoying seeing how the series has evolved and grown over time. You play all these in order, and you can get a general idea of how Square has been learning over the years.

Beat Metroid Prime 3; quite the wimpy final boss fight. The last area in general was kinda... mediocre. In fact any task that just involved hammering away at something that doesn't do much but take a lot of hit points to defeat was poor design choice. Anyway, Prime 3 was overall a pretty good game, had a great story, and definitely helps put aside the bad memories of that travesty that dares to call itself a game, Other M. Prime and Prime 2 are superior, but Prime 3 is definitely worth playing.
Prime 3 was a good game, but as you said, Prime 1 and 2 are definitely better. I think the first Prime was the best metroid game, with Other M close behind it.
I'm in the middle of playing Link's Awakening DX for the first time. Just got into dungeon #6 and beat the weird miniboss that throws an orb at you.

I'm not that far into it. I'm still on Episode 3. I had too many exams.
Other than that, I'm sure hooked with my 3DS right now. I'm addicted to Mario Kart 7 online. Definitely more balanced than Mario Kart Wii. I'm flying through Super Mario 3D Land. It's a bit too easy if you ask me. :/ I got Resident Evil: Revelations a few days ago. I'll be sure to play that. And next week I'll be getting Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS. Portable Tales game FTW! Hopefully they fixed the technical bugs that killed the PS2 version.

and this time when I get to serendipty. I'll get my improved mog throw, where I can go to AF? Archylte Steppe. To pick up the best monster Chichu in the game really early
after that I should have no issues with no enemies

I still have Crimson Echoes, Radiant Historia, Okamiden, and Solatorobo still to play. That should take up a fair amount of time to finish. I also have a handful of PSX games I would like to try playing, mainly Chrono Cross, Grandia, Guardian's Crusade, and Legend of Legaia. My PC can't handle anything better than a PlayStation emulator, but that's still good enough for a look back at the "golden age of RPGs". I'm really enjoying seeing how things have evolved since then.

Also, I've been playing Resident Evil Revelations and OMG, this is one hell of a game. The presentation value of this game is outstanding. Very similar to Resident Evil 4's presentation. Contrary to Robin's claim that the game plays like crap without the CPP, I never had any issues with the controls at all. I think they work fine so far. This might be one of the best games on the 3DS.
