That reminds me of a silly Fox News report comparing infantileists (manchildren) to bronies. I'm not gonna link it because it's Fox and you can just look it up yourself. lolol.

Well, Manchildren =/= Pony-fans (Bronies or w/e). I respect the fact that you guys like good animation, It's just not my cup of tea.

All I'm saying is that Chris has some mental issues and I would never, ever, be affiliated with him in any way.

Also, from the outside looking in, the pony fandom seems a little odd. Which is probably the cause of that silly Fox report.

It's a topic in a forum, which I can only assume is meant so that people can exchange their thoughts and opinions on subjects (topics). If that's the case, this thread is for everyone, those who enjoys My Little Girlshow and those who don't

Anyway as you can probably tell I'm not the biggest fan. If you guys find enjoyment in the show, then awesome, that's really cool for you guys. It's not my cup of tea, and to be perfectly honest, the branding really doesn't help either. I don't care if it has "good animation" or "good writing" or "a good story", it's still a show made for little girls (in my eyes, not stating that as the intention of the creators, though I highly doubt they intended for it to be anything else, and are right now just surfing on the surprising reception they've gotten amongst people who they probably did not at all assume would be their audience). It's like Demon Souls, I've heard it's a fantastic game, but it's just not for me. Getting killed only to have to walk through the entire dungeon with everything reset sounds like bad game design to me (and it is, in my opinion), not to mention incredibly frustrating, yet there are those who think it's one of the best games of this generation. Good on them, they can enjoy that while I enjoy my GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Zelda and inFamous.

Same goes here, enjoy your My Little Pony while I'll enjoy my Dexter (not the childrens show), Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Weeds and Arrested Development

While I'm sure nobody expected this to become the craze it is now, I think it's pretty clear she was aiming for a show that most anyone could watch without gagging. The outcome, to be fair, was probably not what they were expecting, but to say they didn't intend it to be anything else other than a 'little girl's show' isn't true at all. Having watched the show, but not become part of the 'herd', I can safely say this through my own experiences of the shot. :3 I'm not a brony, though. I've seen a few episodes, thought it was okay and left it at that. Though I have a friend who enjoys it and considers herself part of the herd, so I hear and see a lot from her. (Her birthday is tomorrow, which made for the most interesting shopping trip at Toys 'R Us. ever. )

I'm not anywhere near a brony, (I've watched something like 3 episodes, thought it was okay and moved on) but I knew this one from a friends who does like this show.

Either way, I really don't care what she might have said after it went down. For all I know she could have made that up in hopes of getting more people into the idea of watching it. Again, I'm not saying that's what happened, but when you label a show "My Little Pony", I find it incredibly hard to believe it was meant for anything but little girls I mean, if that wasn't their target audience they wouldn't have called it that. Regardless, I'm happy for them and their success, and I hope they keep it up for the sake of their ever-growing fanbase

It seems to me that "bronies" are in denial that the show is targeted towards little girls.
