Don't worry; gyroscope aiming is just optional. You can still use the controls, and I think the guy even mentioned that in the vid, though I'm not 100% certain.

I had volume off, so chances are he did. I'm just glad it's not required.

Uhm. Well, it's Ocarina of Time, which has been the most critically acclaimed video game of all time, so that's kind of a no-brainer *shrug*

Not necessarily, Robin. Enhanced ports don't get the same kind of praise that they do on initial release. I guess now OoT is ready to prove whether or not it stood the test of time. We'll see.

Sadly, most of the current-day game critics grew up playing Ocarina of Time, and a lot of them are going to be biased. A review is a writers personal opinion, and if he liked Ocarina of Time back then, he's going to like Ocarina of Time now. It's the same game after all.

That's not to say there won't any be honest reviews out there.

EDIT: Kotaku is very good when it comes to 100% honest and unbiased game reviews, so I'd suggest checking them out when the time comes icon_wink.gif

So I assume there's not going to be any additional features, at this point in time? icon_shrug.gif I guess I won't complain too much, I'm still excited, but I'd have liked to see an additional dungeon or two.

As I said a while back, it's been confirmed that it won't have any additional features, other than the updated graphics and the tweaked controls. Of course, they could get a change of heart during development, but it's highly unlikely. Personally, I'm not bothered by this. In fact, it has all I want: better graphics, 3D that I didn't even know I wanted and not to mention the fact that it's portable icon_razz.gif

Perhaps I should mention that I tried this game last week, over at Nintendo's headquarters in Norway (Bergsala). A friend of mine, who happens to be the editor of the mag I used to write for brought me along to try out the 3DS, and one of the games we got to demo was this. I'm very happy about the new changes to the controls. It just feels a lot more polished. I'm talking about the way Link moves, by the way. The 3D was also very nice. It's going to take some getting used to, but it's definitively a nice addition.

Ah, I seem to have missed that part...

Oh, well. I'm just as excited, nonetheless. Ocarina of Time was actually my first video game as a child, so I'm pretty stoked for this whole trip down memory lane.

Looks about the same as usual. icon_blah.gif

The texturing is improved and the sunset effect is definitely better than before, so it looks neat, but again, same as usual. Not that impressive, but at least it helps feed those clamoring for more information and footage. icon_razz.gif

I'm pretty sure the only reason I would get this game is because it's portable. The added graphics don't appeal to me too much. I couldn't careless what the game looks like, as long as it's fun.

Heh. Test of time.
Anyways, why don't they come out with a Zelda: Majora's Mask remake for trhe 3DS? Come on, I only have so much years left in me. icon_xd.gif

Well, they haven't said they won't do one. I can't imagine it would take a whole lot of effort on their part, as they would just need to edit the engine of OoT:3D a bit. The probability is seemingly unlikely, but it's definitely nice to dream about.
