And, note, FF XIII came out today; won't be playing it 'cause I lack the required consoles! ... and, I have yet to beat FF IV on DS.

Same here on both accounts. I was gonna get an XBox360 with taxes, but never did, as I got a DSi instead. I've made it a little ways in FFIV on DS, but that's not far at all.

Plus, I have to wait 8 entire days before I can play my copy of SoulSilver. The reason is, that I pre-ordered it from Amazon.com for $34.99 with free 2 day shipping, except it won't be shipped out until the 15th, because the 14th is Sunday. Oh well, I'll just have to make sure not to look in this thread until after I get my copy, after it's released.

Yeah, I'm 'bout 10 hours into FF IV, trying to beat that cave where I can't wear any metal... that dark elf at the end is brutal, I tell ye!

And, once I get SS, I probably won't post here 'till I get a ways into it, just to avoid spoilers. Should prove a bit easy compared to the massive withdraw from Serebii.net I'm doing, since I don't want to get pounded with spoilers when they start releasing 5th gen mechanics and such (unfortunately, I've already seen two new pokes... but no more!). I just can't wait to hear all that remixed music and plot points again, like healing the Ampharos at the top of the lighthouse and all that!

Heh, and what makes it more sweet (or, maybe, bitter) for me is, I'm getting the game the day after I take my SATs. I won't have to study or anything, so I can enjoy the game to its fullest extent without any nagging worries or anythin'!

With regards to Serebii, I'm going to look at anything new announced before the game is released. But after it's released, and he goes into his massive coverage of everything, I'm pulling out.

Angeal, that sucks. Well, at least you got the game for cheaper. I'm getting it at Costco. It's only $32 there, and I get it the same day it comes out.

I can't wait to get my copy of HeartGold. I plan to use the free gift card I got with Final Fantasy XIII for $10 off. I'll be happy to share FC for some battling! I never did online battling before. Is it true you can cap all Pokemon at level 50?

Yep, you can set level 50 battle, level 100 battle, or any level. We should have a giant PZC match after ever gym. Or after we're all at a certain point in the game.

Don't be suprised when I own the competition with a pre-evolved team; it's all about strategy !

Yup, a strategy that I'm too lazy to make.

Actually, I do have a bit of strategy, but nothing like the competitive battlers have. I just use whatever Pokemon I like, and give them moves that I think might be strategic.

I'm up for some competitive battling! ... though, I'd feel more confident if we just had it with those who've defeated the elite four or something. I don't think I'll be able to keep up with everyone! (I dunno why I'm slow at beating gym leaders, but... ah well! ) I probably won't have much strategy until I defeat Red or so, so... yeah. That is, unless we are able to trade over some teams from Platinum? *hint hint*

Maybe have some kind of tier system battling? Like, rank 10 through rank 1, with rank 10 being before the first gym leader, rank 9 being after the first two gym leaders, rank 8 being after the first 4 gym leaders, and so forth, with rank 1 being after the defeat of Red at the top of Mount Silver. ^^'

I like level cap at 100, though, 'cause I feel more powerful that way. lol

Are we going to allow Platinum teams? Or only teams your raise solely on SS/HG? Also, are we using stuff like the "sleep clause" and "OHKO clause" and "ubers" and "OU" and things?

Platinum teams: Well, it depends. After we've beaten the game, sure. If we're still at the second gym, heck no!

Ubers: Maybe we could play with a no uber rule, or a one uber rule.

Other clauses: Nah, they're kind of stupid, I think.

Heh, naturally, after you've beaten the game! I trust I won't be fighting some Porygon-Z before the fourth gym battle! ^^' Maybe create a whole new arena for non-SS/HG teams.

I'm thinking of starting fresh once i arrive to Kanto. Like, i want Kanto to be a challenge for me. So what I'm going to do is, transfer over my platinum team on the mid level 10s or just catch all Generation 1 Pokemon in Kanto and start off from level 1 and train them there..
