Huh, that's odd.

Maybe it's the item override that's doing it? Item override will only ever show the item you choose it to show, so if the item override is a custom scripted arrow/item, and you are giving the player a regular arrow, then the regular arrow won't show up in that spot.

That shouldn't be the problem. If it's behind the background, he wouldn't be able to see it in the subscreen editor. It looks like it's the only arrow weapon, though, so I wonder why he's using an item override, at all. Typically, he should only need to, if he's got multiple selectable arrows.

my items work.

 

so my item will show the graphic as it is without override? it worked for the lightning bolt thing that shows up, that has item overide.

Assuming it's the highest level arrow you have on your subscreen, yes, it should. The item override is mostly for allowing multiple versions of the same weapon class, like allowing multiple sword types, or multiple arrow types, so you can choose between them, otherwise, each slot just shows the highest level version of the item you have.

EDIT: That being said, it might not fix the problem, it could be a problem with the item's graphics, themselves, too.

I'm pretty sure it is sent to bow, and the arrow to arrows.

I've never had to do that. I've always used bows and arrows as separate items.

Did a ton of work on AR3 today. Got quite a lot of story covered and got quite a lot of screens done. Now it's off to Level 6's area.

With much help from Lejes, I got a functioning Moving Platform and Pits script working. Joy!

Next up: items- Fire Rod, Magnet Gloves, Seed Shooter.

Ultimate goal: recreate most of the functionality and mechanics of the Oracle games.

Worked on a bit of Zora's Village today and got more of the ocean done. Hopefully I should be getting Level 6 started soon.
