condensed two of my overworld maps into one, attempting to save space (plus, it makes designing connecting screens between two areas much easier):

Kingdom of Eluriya- South


Still have to finish the beach, but then I'll have these three areas finished, and will be able to move on to the forest to the north, and the castle to the east

Finished the path to the dungeon item of my first dungeon. One room to fix.

 

Came up with an idea to make my sideview gravity puzzle work without ladders.

 

Got rushed into doing dishes so I don't have time to test that out.

 

Got rushed to work so I don't have time to figure out how to make secrets (both one part and multiple part) permanent.

i'm incapible of vanilla tile use. and dedication

 

i'm asking a question here to you. the extent of a person's dungon making, it is the pinical when someone says "let's collaberate you do dungons, but you must do them in the shape i made. with dungon carving and freeform dungon.

Continued on more work with AR3 and got one stage down for a unique minigame in the quest. I won't do the rest until near the end though since I want to get more story stuff done for now though.

Worked a bit more on the village and field maps by adding more detail and content, and planned a transition area between the village and another location I worked on today also. Thanks Jared for the idea and inspiration!

Finished said transition area today. It's rather small and linear but there is still a few things that can be done (one of these things require a revisit) which is what matters most!

To challenge and motivate myself however, I give myself two weeks to finish at the very least the area of Level 1.

I finished it! I'm going to make Level 1 tomorrow. In the meantime however, I will make the houses and caves. I'm only going to implement the story until Chapter 1 is finished map-wise (Chapter 1 also includes Level 2). In less than a week, I got four (three of which are major) locations done! That's around ~75 screens in a detailed tileset too. If I had to estimate, all I need to create is 30-40 more screens and I'm set for Chapter 1's overworld.

 

I have Level 1 planned in my head. It's going to be a very open ended dungeon.

 

Also need to write that Puzzle of the Month announcement.

Last night I was trying to fix probably my most stupid bug ever. I was trying to draw a combo on the screen with FFCs+scripting and for some reason the combo wouldn't show at some screens. So after much painful struggling, researching and comparing it was just the piece of crap Lens of Truth all along. On some screens it was set to "reveal layer 4" for some unknown reason and of course the combo I was drawing is on layer 4.  :heh:

 

But I'm making progress at least.

Working on caves, added a few new tiles and tweaking some previous areas here and there. No Level 1 yet, but progress is steady. :)

A note for all: if you want entrance/exit warps to set continue points = add a level number! I finally found this out today after much struggling. Much less bugs now.

is it wrong to collaborate because someone is lazy or foolish? i think i might benifit from some of that slack picking up.

 

 

i'm having graphical design difficulty

 

I'm not going to do it, but if someone were to recolor Gameboy, which pallet should be chosen?

Got the hang of using MC cliff tiles, which is cool, but trying to have good screen design using MC's huge trees is a major pain.

Worked more on AR3 and proceeded to get some ocean area covered. Not gonna finish making the whole ocean + it's underwater counterpart yet though. I'm wanting to get the path to Zora Village done first, and then work towards Level 6.
