How would big Link fit in that doorway? Also, it'll look really weird having link fight 16x16 enemies.

I was going to make the doorway bigger. And why does everyone imply that I'm keeping the enemies tiny?! We have scripting now, people!!

I've always liked the idea of a bigger Link. There are instances of enemies that would be fine in 16x16, like octoroks. However, others I feel would need to be adjusted like moblins and darknuts otherwise it'll look weird. Another thing to consider is that you'll have to modify stuff to fit, such as doors and the like.
I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying that it'll be a lot of work to set-up. But I think having something different like that would be really cool to see.

I'll be honest, I would straight out avoid big link and big enemies. Sure, you have things like Octoroks, Gels, and Keese, that will stay the same size; but with everything, your screens aren't going to have any elbow room. Dungeon walls, houses, entrances, trees, etc. will all have to be larger to compensate for how big Link and certain enemies will be, and without Z3 scrolling, it's really not going to function as well as you think. Notice that ALttP and TMC were the only ones to have a Link bigger than 16x16, and they both had Z3 scrolling.

I'm going to say as long as you find big enemies that fit in with Link and his animation/style/shading I say go for it. For the screen itself, it looks nice and peaceful. I'd add one more flower beside the windmill to make it less empty. But please do not overload it, it looks pleasing to look at as-is in my opinion.

Doesn't fit AT ALL in Zelda Classic. Big Link is a horrible feature. Even if you make bigger enemies to accommodate it would still be bad because screens would feel cramped. Even if a screen has absolutely nothing on it, big Link makes it feel cramped. If you had Z3 scrolling, big Link would work, but at that point you'd be recoding the whole engine and probably not even be using Link at all.
tl;dr big Link is all around terrible and you should never use him.

In the GB Zeldas Link felt cramped due to the smaller screen resolution... But was it a problem? Not at all on my end. Point being: It's all about personal preferences I guess.

I don't necessarily think that big Link clashes with DoR, but it is weird to control a character who is taller than the doorways he enters (like the windmill).

I will have to say no to the big link as well. They just don't look right in the DoR set.

I can't believe you without a reason. I think he fits in nicely.
I'll give you some reasons. Enemies, NPC's and other various sprites would most certainly have to be edited. No exceptions. (This reason is clearly visible on the screen) door ways are to small for Link. Especially the 1x1 GB styled door ways. I'd just not use big Link at all because it looks strange compared to other graphics
