Gamefreak's word filter has been garbage since Gen 5. The hilight being that it would not allow you to trade a Cofagrigus unless it was nicknamed because it thought you were trying to say fag. In gen 6, a couple of people named Viola complained that they couldn't name their character after themselves because apparently the name contains the French word for rape in it and is thus on the blacklist. I can understand not wanting profanity in names, but GameFreak takes a little too far and ends up just making fools of themselves.
In Gen 5, I had a Musharna named Penny. It was my main Pokémon in Black and I couldn't wait to transfer it to XY. When I transferred it, however, I got a notification saying its name had been changed for being inappropriate! I can't even find any AR codes that would let me rename it...I'd honestly buy one just for that. I was really disappointed. Haha. It just further increased my maybe somewhat irrational hatred for Gen 5.

Oh crap, I broke the game!
(well... almost)
So I've got a Snorlax designed for captures, his moves are Block, Yawn, Work Up, and Hold Back, everything you need. Then I read that if Ditto is holding an Everstone it will always pass its Nature down when you're breeding. So I figure, I'll try to catch a Ditto with every Nature. So I encounter a Ditto, which, naturally, transforms into a copy of my Snorlax. The Ditto-Snorlax uses Block against me! Now I can't swap out Pokemon or Run from battle, but my Snorlax is incapable of "killing" the wild Ditto! My only choice is to go through all my moves until I run out of PP so I can kill the Ditto with Struggle (and that means 85 turns) !
Of course it gets worse because Ditto calls for help, so now I've got two Dittos using Yawn to put my Snorlax to sleep so I can't use moves until I wake up!! I also can't capture Ditto because there are two!!

What if you ran out of PP for 3 of your 4 moves and the opposing Ditto used Block and Taunt??? Would you be stuck forever? Unable to run, swap out, kill Ditto or move because of the Taunt?? ![]()

Well, I used the trick where you make a wild Ditto transform into a Smeargle that only knows Recycle and give it a Leppa berry so that I could find a 4 IV Ditto, I ended up getting a shiny 4 IV Ditto my very first (40 link) chain.

Now that Pokemon names have up to 12 characters instead of 10 they should fix broken names like Feraligatr (it should obviously be Feraligator)

I've since adapted. I've figured out thanks to someone else you can register a Ride Pokemon to the D-pad, which makes things even more convenient. Suppose it makes sense; fishing rods and bikes and stuff had hotkeys in the past. Hotbuttons? I dunno.
