Well, I finally finished the game 100%. Now to play with glitches. Lots of fun.

Nice! Probably this weekend I'll be replaying the game for the 3 heart run I was planning on doing for the original, but because of the 3D version, I really wanted to just wait! xD

in the original game, there where a few ways via glitches. One was the Epona save glitch, and the other was the zora diving in shallow water glitch. You could also do it in Saiko's cave when you are switched with Kaife  to get the deity mask on .

I'm sure there are ways to do it now as well, just will take some time to figure it out.

A method to glitch it in MM3D was already found. It involves using hot spring water and the BA (bottle adventure) glitch.

Also, I don't have the game yet, but I looked up the new Twinmold fight. I can honestly say I VERY strongly dislike it. They should have done something else rather than turn it into a "RAWR HULK SMASH!" fight. All the other boss fights I think look amazing though. Just I don't like the changes to Twinmold and the Giant's Mask as some of them were unnecessary and EXTREMELY gimmicky.

Well I mean... Giant's Mask was "gimmicky" already in the sense that the Twinmold fight is literally the only place you could use it. So why not make it more unique than just a bigger Link?

 

I personally love the new Twinmold fight. Only thing is it can be kind of annoying trying to get every needed hit on him in the second phase in a single cycle, but hey, at least it's not a simple fight and actually takes some effort. Same with the new Gyorg. Both excellent fights and the two best in this remake, in my opinion.

I mean true, but at the same time, "HULK SMASH" Link is honestly just as out of place as bigger Link. That's just strictly my opinion though. But honestly, I would have preferred the second phase of Twinmold to also have a weak spot so you could defeat him in more than one way. You are kind of forced to defeat him in a certain way. That's one of the main reasons why I dislike the changes to the fight. In the original fight, while it wasn't as neatly polished as this one is, you were able to defeat them in a variety of ways but it still required effort considering the sheer size of the boss and the specific weak spots. Now you are pretty much put in a do-or-die situation where you have no choice.   If they had included the changes I am suggesting, then I think the fight would have been MILES better and much more fun.

has anyone tried killing him in the second half of the fight with the light arrows? perhaps that can help defeat him... I may have to try it to see if there are other ways... (though yes you'll probably still need the giants mask to affect the weak area)

I seem to have encountered a problem...Maybe y'all can help me out. I'm working on getting the HCP from the Keaton side-quest but the Keaton in the Mountain Village is just not appearing! I've tried everything I can think of...

 

It's spring. I tried slashing all of the bushes, I tried slashing only one of the bushes, and I tried just slashing some of the bushes and letting the others dance into oblivion...But to no avail. Through it all I have been wearing the mask and I haven't seen high or low of the little Keaton fella! I've even tried playing the Song of Time and starting the quest over, thinking maybe the game hiccuped and somehow thought I'd already talked to the one in Mountain Village.

The other two Keatons appear no problem. Also, the Mountain Village Keaton has appeared once before, but I wasn't working on the side quest at that point so it was not a priority. I'm starting to worry that something glitched then and now I'll forever be sans a HCP.

 

I'm sure the solution is really simple and I'm just missing something but Google hasn't helped me one bit. Does anyone have any idea why the Keaton won't appear? This is a serious SOS. I could probably defeat Goht with my eyes closed at this point.

Did you already fail the quiz before? Because if you did, you'll have to either go to Clock town or the milk road. The Keaton only appears once every Three-Day cycle from each bush type. Or are you hitting the right set of bushes? If they're not moving, you the Keaton won't appear.

I failed the quiz absent mindedly when I wasn't actually working on the quest, but I've reset the three day cycle several times in an attempt to get it to reappear and it simply won't. It's definitely the right patch of grass. It does the little dance and I even looked at screenshots to make sure I wasn't going completely crazy.

If you complete all three Keaton quizzes in the same three day cycle, you're awarded a HCP. The issue here is that one of the quizzes is just straight up unavailable, thus preventing me from meeting the criteria.

Nah, you only need to complete one Keaton quiz. It's strange that Keaton isn't showing up for you, but you're not being screwed out of anything.
