Moar Earthbound tonight at 7pm EST, as usual. Also, figured I'd mention that all previous episodes are up on my Youtube, playlist located here. I've been trying to get streams uploaded within 24 hours as of late in case you miss it and feel like watching still. Any feedback on quality is appreciated.

Aevin and I are doing some more Earthbound at the usual time of 7pm EST. Tonight we'll hopefully be finishing up Fourside as well as pay a visit to a couple of previous areas, now that we have our fast travel ability. Hope to see everyone there!

Got something a bit different tonight! Tonight, we dive into the Darkest Dungeon!

 

 

Darkest Dungeon is a rouge-lite (site refers to it as rougelike but I kind of disagree) where a party of travelling adventurers explore the haunted grounds of a long lost relative. During their dive into these cursed catacombs, they will have to manage their health, deal with the afflictions brought by the evil inhabitants of these dungeons, and keep their sanity in check.

 

The game certainly has some Lovecraftian vibes, which I personally love, and the art style is super interesting and gothic. The game is currently in Early Access but has a huge amount of content that is continuing to grow. I believe they're targeting an early 2016 release, though I could be mistaken.

 

I've not played the game first hand but I've watched a friend play it some, so this will be a partly blind encounter. That said, I have a co-pilot who's seen a bit more of the game, as joining me into this journey is LinktheMaster.

 

Game will be starting at 7pm EST, as per normal, and I hope to see some folks there!

 

P.S. No stream next week, taking a holiday break. But Aevin and I will be back with more Earthbound on January 5th!

Normally there would be moar Earthbound tonight, but we're going to take a week off. Partially because we're still both recovering from the holidays, but also because AGDQ (Awesome Games Done Quick) is going on right now, and you should TOTALLY be watching that. They're taking donations which all go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation (which is a legitimately good cause) and are providing some very entertaining and sometimes just mind-blowing speedruns. Give 'em a watch if you haven't had a chance to see them before. There's a full schedule on their site of what's coming up and it runs through Saturday night.

 

Next week we should be back, and thanks for the patience!

As said last week, we're back to play more Groundheld Terrawrapped Earthbound tonight! Should be starting up at the usual 7pm EST time. I'm SUPER looking forward to getting back to this, having beaten Undertale recently as well. Related to that, expect some discussion of Undertale, though we will refrain from getting into anything too spoilery.

Hey, taking the night off due to some other obligations, but keep an eye on this space. There is a possibility that there might be a stream Thursday at 7pm EST, but I cannot confirm that 100% yet. If there is a stream, it may involve some kinda banana-flavored Zelda quest.

In the Lost Kingdom of the Banana Blood God was a 2-week quest by Russ and Moosh that was fully released later in 2015 with additional postgame content added in. It's by all accounts a very innovative and well-developed quest and has been highly recommended by several people. In this quest, you will play as two different characters who have to team up to save the world from an ancient demon use the almighty power of bananas.

 

That last sentence probably sounds a lot less strange if you know Russ and Moosh.

 

Speaking of which, the both of them will be joining me on this adventure as I am happy to announce that I'm going to begin doing weekly ZC streams on Thursday evenings! I'll be kicking things off as Russ and Moosh guide me through their banana-inspired quest, tonight at 7:30pm EST. Hope to see some folks there!

So, last night, while playing Earthbound, we ended up in the land of Magicant (oh, yeah, well I say Magi-CAN!!!!!!!!).

 

*ahem*

 

While they, we encountered this little dude, Mr. Molecule:

 

This raised a question. What Molecule is it? Unfortunately, resident chemistry guru Russ wasn't on-hand to provide any insight, so I passed it along to infrequent co-streamer (and wife or whatever) Christina, who also has some kind of chemistry-related background to see if we could figure it out.

 

Her best guess is Glyoxal, but we can't be sure, partially since we don't know for sure what the purple and red would represent. We went with common elements, choosing Nitrogen and Oxygen.

 

So I was wondering if anyone else has any input. What exactly IS Mr. Molecule?
