Why does everyone keep bringing up that stupid Majora's Mask? Its obviously a cameo. Get over it.

Yes, but it's interesting. Are people not allowed to talk about that which interests them?

Anyways, I forgot to mention. The picture with the family. Could this be a young Link and his parents/guardians? That's what I immediately thought when I first saw them, and didn't even consider that they could be totally unrelated villagers. It'd certainly be interesting to see Link with two guardians. When have we seen that before? Oh, that's right. The Legend of Never: Not a Real Game.

While I'm super excited to finally play a non-linear Zelda game after progressively more and more linear gameplay from recent, I can't help but think the graphics are mediocre at best. They're not bad... it's just after playing Ocarina of Time 3D, and witnessing those GORGEOUS visuals, these graphics seem like a bit of a step back. Not that graphics have ever really mattered to me. It's just that I thought Nintendo could do better with the 3DS' hardware.

Other than the less than stellar graphics, I'm very interested in this game. A "Dark Zelda"? That means there's probably maybe a 70% chance that there'll be a Dark Link, and he may or may not be more than just an emotionless boss. Theoretical he could be a character in the "Other World", and maybe, just maybe, he would actually talk. Wouldn't that be intriguing??

Keep in mind the traliers and pictures are blown up in size and aren't entirely reflective of how it will look on a tiny 3DS/XL screen.

Potential Spoilers (Unless you've seen the Intro of ALBW)

Sorry for purely hidden post but this has to be pointed out.

That really bugs me that they would forget that much about their own franchise.  It just proves how much fans of Zelda really care.

Keiichi: It's certainly not interesting when MM3D fanboys say it's the hint to a Majora's Mask remake. :P

And yeah, either it's a oversight or it's a plot detail.

It's interesting to said fanboys.

I don't mind if they find it interesting. But some look at it like it's a major deal. Hell they even think this game being a major disappointment and hope and expect Zelda Wii U will be Majora's Mask HD. Which I hope not because original Zelda games and all should be a thing.

I don't really care for HD remakes really.  I'm more than happy playing the games that I have, without paying for the same game again.  The only reason I bought OoT3D was because I wanted to play it on the go (having it be really laggy on the PSP doesn't count.)

Yeah, I think remakes are only worth buying for me if a decent amount of new content is added or a vast major improvements have been made or portability. Graphical updates are nice and all, but it's not a worthwhile reason for me.

This is only a mock-up/concept using an image from the new Smash Bros. on the 3DS, but just look at this. This is what Nintendo could have done with the new Zelda game on the 3DS, but instead, we got the severely dated graphics we have now. Now, I'm still super excited for the game, but I feel they had a missed opportunity on their hands.

Hey we got Zelda Wii U, their first HD Zelda coming up. Maybe it'll look better than that. :D

Also release date for Australia finally (23rd of November).

Shane, you're right. But I'm still sad that it doesn't look like that. O.O

Well, there are several reasons why one could assume that HD Zelda will be using non-toony graphics:

1) It's their first HD Zelda, and toon art styles don't really show the HD factor much. So I hope they'll have to take advantage on that by using something like TP's graphical style.

2) They haven't released a non-toony themed Zelda for a while.

3) Most of Nintendo's games are toony already. Not really a worthwhile reason but maybe Nintendo is saving the HD goodness for the best. ;)

Overall, I'm sad they missed the opportunity to make something more gorgeous. But at the same time, I actually like ALBW's graphics.

I sure hope so. But remember back in the early 2000's where we got an amazing tech-demo depicting an EPIC 1-to-1 sword fight with Link and Ganon, setting expectations high for a new Zelda game for the Game Cube with stunning visuals, but instead, we got the Wind Waker? I have a strange feeling that Zelda U is going to be similar. We got that BEAUTIFUL tech-demo at E3 a few years back, but I feel we're going to get something totally different. I'm sure it'll work, though.

(For the record, I'm not one of those people who bash Wind Waker for it's cutesy art style. It's actually probably my favorite art style in the series, and I absolutely adore it)

Well, I could imagine SSBU's Link being featured. He looks more better than the tech demo's.

Remember the N64 tech demo with Link and a Iron Knuckle? Ocarina of Time looked better than that. So I wouldn't assume the graphics are going to change for the worst. :P

That's actually a good argument. I feel that the Link in Smash looks like that for a reason. Maybe it's foreshadowing Zelda U?
