Y, because I'm a boy and have a Y chromosome.
(yes I'm aware we have X chromosomes too but that's not the point so get out of here)

Y. I mono-dark, so it would be a bit foolish to get the one that DOESN'T have a dark-type legendary.

X, because I always take the "Blue" version,

X - I personally like the legendary in that game more than Y.

What are the main differences between X and Y? In Pokemon Black and White I know there were not any differences of importance, except this black town and the white forest.

Black and White had more than just that. Opelucid town was completely different (an ancient city in White, a modern metropolis in Black), the gym leader's different (Iris in White, Drayden in Black), the legendaries you and N get are swapped, some of the Pokemon you can catch are different... White used triple battles while Black used rotation, etc.
As for X and Y though, we don't know too much. They have different legendaries, and different forms of Mewtwo, and a few version exclusive Pokemon we know so far (see here). There's bound to be more differences, these are just all we know of so far.
Also, since I just checked, the Mewtwo forms apparently aren't version specific, just the items for them (I was afraid it would be like Deoxys in the GBA games where he changes forms as soon as he's traded). This is good; I can just obtain the X item somehow and I'm all good.

Mega Charizard X confirmed. It seems the original Mega Charizard is exclusive to Y now.

I dunno, I think I actually like this one more than the Y version, which I thought was ugly. But, still getting Y. What is with these multiple exclusives though? Starting to get a little annoying...

"The big news however is that Mega Charizard X is half Dragon type!"
Yes. Finally. So. Much. Freaking. Yes.
Although to be completely honest, I like the look of Mega Charizard Y better...

Oh yes. That's definitely nice. ![]()
As for me, I'm probably going for Y because the legendary of that game (the bird) looks so much better than the legendary of X (unicorn thing?
). Anyway, the bird is better in my opinion. This is going to be the greatest advancement in Pokémon since... a long time ago? ![]()
