Saturdays are pretty rough for me given my work schedule, but maybe we can work something out.

I work midnight shifts now, thank goodness, so I'm happy for all day Friday and Saturday, and any afternoon except Sunday.

We should consider using mods though. It adds a lot to gameplay.

I picked it up again recently when Moosh pulled it up during a Skype call, then Evan got it later and joined in. He went from being a n00b to the master expert in less than 24 hours. Had a little fun, gained a few more items, but then I started to grow bored with it again. I'd offer to play with you guys but I'm not sure I could drag myself into a game so easily, especially when there's tons of other stuff I want to try doing as well.

Maybe if I just happen to be in the mood one day, but if it involved making a new character, the deal would be off, since I hate doing that. icon_razz.gif

Hm. I wonder for how long myself, and what he's planning to do, if anything.

He had a similar "return" to the Super Mario Bros. X engine when he released version 1.3 of said game, so if we get new content, that's great, but I agree with Koh in that don't set your expectations so high that you might end up just getting disappointed.

Pessimism aside, I'd anticipate at least one update. Plus some of the mods out there are just good fun that really add to the appeal of the game.

Looks pretty good, and I can already see some new equipment and stuff. Mayhap we've some hope after all. But let's see if it actually comes out. If it does, then I'll be all over it with friends, and probably gift the game to others. Otherwise, probably not.

I continually find myself going back to Terraria at least once every two months for a new world with some mods. It's mostly that new furniture mod, the Stacks expanded mod, the Health+ mod, the Metroid mod, ('cuz it's overpowered. icon_razz.gif ) and the Dual Wield mod. As long as the first mod I mentioned isn't buggy though. I tried to use a coin-op machine it made, and it froze permanently, even each time I started the world up. Took a break from it. icon_unsettled.gif

I'd love to start a new vanilla world though once the new update hits. Keeps things simple and clean.

... .... Someone out there will probably make a mod that creates all the new stuff just so we won't have to wait two months to get the update. People are crazy like that.

I'm really curious as to how all of the new equipment is added to the game. If it's just latched on, then the current end-gear is probably still the same end-gear. But if it was added as more "between" gear, then I wonder how everything else was rebalanced, if at all necessary. The problem with the current version was that there was only one end-game armor set (Hallow), and before getting into HardMode, you had 3 different sets to choose. Also, what about accessories? I mean, Wings and Specter Boots are pretty much the end all and be all of travelling.

I really liked the way the endgame played out in Megasharkria, though.


Seriously, I hope they add more armor variety for the endgame and make the endgame bosses actually a threat. One person shouldn't be able to effortlessly solo them. icon_frown.gif

Are you kidding? They only became that way because everyone got used to them. No one can say they were that easy within the first couple of fights.

The first fight with Destroyer was certainly rough, but then you're able to craft the Megashark and...yeah....

EDIT: Also that anti-gravity potion is pretty busted too. I suppose the problem here isn't the bosses, but the sheer power of the equipment you can get fairly easily.

I agree with this. Endgame bosses need to be made harder. I want a Skeletron Prime Prime with a Dungeon Guardian orbiting it.
