Whoah, pretty cool. Which game is it based off of, physics-wise?

The project has moved to the Castlevania III Engine because the Castlevania 1 graphics set was not meant to be edited, whenever I change the least little thing the graphics get really glitchy looking.

The episode was a pretty good one, though I can't quite put my finger on why.


If anything, I was actually more interested in this, a little flash game telling the story of Applebloom's little adventure in the Everfree forest. It's creepy. Well worth a look.

I'm not a huge fan of MLP but I've watched it casually for a while now, and I'd like to share some of my thoughts.

Discord appearing, Sombra conquering the Crystal Empire, and Luna's corruption all happened within a very short time a thousand years ago.
Old Canterlot was built in the Everfree Forest. The Princesses would not build their capitol city in the middle of such a dangerous place. This implies that the Everfree Forest was not always the way it is in the show.
The Everfree Forest, as a refresher, has naturally occuring weather, plant growth, and dangerous monsters roam it, capable of taking care of themselves, and being far more dangerous than the Equestrian wildlife. Such things do not happen in Equestria anywhere else BUT the Everfree.
The story about the love potion in the Hearts and Hooves day episode tells of two lovers whom could not perform their royal duties, and a dragon attacked their kingdom. Chaos reigned as a result.
The Love Poison itself is made with the essence of a rainbow.
It's not explicitly stated that the prince was the creator of the love poison.
It's also heavily implied that Sombra and Chrysalis are the two lovers from that story, making them the original rulers of the Crystal Empire before something corrupted them.
It is stated that "A Darkness overtook her heart" when the story of the Mare in the Moon was told.
That darkness was implied to have come from an outside source.
That same darkness is what made Sombra, Chrysalis, and Discord.
Then finally there was the completely irrelevant mention of Tartarus in "It's About Time".
When Cerberus only showed up for Twilight TO explain Tartarus as a realm full of monsters.
In the entirety of all of the MLP cartoons history, there was only one character that looks like he belongs in Tartarus, had the ability to corrupt hearts, landscapes, create dragons, have a horde of monsters at his beck and call, and have an affinity for rainbows. Tirek.
Tirek needed 4 ponies in the 80s cartoon to get eternal night. So far in FiM, there have been four pony antagonists. Nightmare Moon, Discord, Sombra, and Chrysalis.
Faust was a fan of the original series, and it appears to have been planned as early as season 1 episode 1 with it ending with Tirek.

Naturally, I have absolutely no idea if this is true or not. It was being passed around Reddit for a bit. I just saw that running around on Facebook. I can't really blame Hasbro for ensuring for the protection of its golden goose.

If it's true, I'm a bit miffed at the potential spoilers for the end of the season, though it is a pretty damn cool thing to happen to any particular ponyfolk. It's no small thing to sprout wings and fly.

Guess we couldn't Save Derpy, huh. I wonder how long that was digging at the heels of the execs' minds.

Definitely a morals-oriented episode. It was certainly well achieved, and very effective. I was actually expecting them to make RD a Wonderbolt right there on the spot at the end of the episode. Really glad she's at least that much closer to her dream.

I feel like the writing team has stepped it up a notch with this episode. Managing to justify Dash showing unflinching selflessness is no small feat. Placing Dash in the face of a circumstance which she'd previously been on the opposite side of allowed this episode to carry a lot of weight. 10/10 would re-watch.

Yet another fantastic episode. Getting kind of worried that people aren't replying to this thread anymore.


I did read one thing, though, by the Facebook page "Real Men Watch My Little Pony" that stuck with me, because it's true. Please give this a read.

Do you remember the time you first saw Bridle Gossip, and it struck you as strange that Pinkie, (whose claim to fame was the ability to giggle in the face of fear itself), was suddenly afraid of zebras? Did you ever wonder why Twilight had difficulty picking a companion for the gala when Applejack had the only truly altruistic reason for wanting to attend?

My Little Pony has always had its little gaps in logic.

It seems that a lot of bronies have been nitpicking Season 3 to death, and fretting about the current state of the show. (Thank you, Mario, for bringing this trend to my attention). It's normal to be a tad concerned that MLP:FiM may change, especially when it means so very much to you, but if you ever find yourself actively digging for flaws in the writing, and you come away from episodes feeling upset, you seriously need to stop what you're doing and take a deep breath.

My Little Pony hasn't changed. You have.

The show has had its imperfections since the beginning. We used to love My Little Pony all the more because of them! We made memes celebrating the little inconsistencies, and they spread like wildfire all over the Internet. Those memes are half the reason that the brony phenomenon got to be as big as it did in the first place!

The bottom line is this: you get out of an episode exactly what you put into it. If, when you press play, you lean forward with a furrowed brow and prepare to dissect the episode in anticipation of imperfections, you will find exactly what you are looking for. If you approach each episode with an open heart, and expect to see candy colored horses learning about friendship, you too will find exactly what you are looking for.

Think back.

When you first fell in love with the show, did you expect every episode to be perfect? Did you weigh canon against fanon, and complain when an episode didn't meet your expectations, or were you simply delighted to have found 22 minutes a week worth of warmth, humor, friendship, and smiles?

Try to remember your first pony smile, or the first time you laughed to yourself "did Applejack actually just say the word 'EVERYPONY'?" Remember the first time the show put a catchy song in your heart, or the first time the show made you shed manly tears.

That feeling right there - that's why we are all here.

So if you ever find yourself unhappily nitpicking episodes, or getting upset over the behavior of other bronies, or wishing your art/fic/song was popular, or just plain finding any old thing in the fandom to be upset about, do yourself a favor and take the time to stop and remember what brought us together in the first place.

Think about it, and really try to remember that feeling. You'll be glad that you did.

I can't really devote any particular thoughts to that. It doesn't feel like it can work with a theory or anything. It starts more rumors than it ends, I think.
