That was the best moment of that episode- neigh, THE BEST MOMENT OF ALL PONIES EVER.

That's actually one of my favorite episodes now, though. But is it bad that I like Pinkie Pie when she's, well, sad? It's just kind of a cute personality for her, for some reason. That makes me sound like a horrible person though D:

Nah. It reminds us all how deep she can be. Otherwise, even I would find her kind of annoying. I like optimistic and bouncy, but when she seems invulnerable and full of unlimited energy, there's very little to relate to. When she seems down, she's more realistic, slightly. She's more open to be loved.

Oh, god. That moment was PRICELESS.

Absolutely perfect episode - albeit a bit gratuitous - but we knew what we were in for the moment we found out it was Pinkie. Honestly, you couldn't ask for more from a Pinkie episode than this level of reality-breaking randomness.

Also, Pinkie Watches Paint Dry, anyone? I bet AbsoluteAnonymous adores having her apex work suddenly become canon.

I forgot to post my impressions of the episode!

I absolutely loved it. I don't think I've laughed so hard at a single episode of a show since Stargate SG-1's 200th episode. Among my favorite Friendship is Magic episodes, if not my favorite overall. If I decide it is my new favorite, it would be replacing Party of One for that honor -- I apparently tend to like Pinkie episodes!

That face, oh my god. My only regret about the gif of it above is how it leaves out the moment immediately after where they both get violently hit with Twilight's blast of magic.

A dandy episode. Had apples all over it, somehow. Had plenty of funny moments, and moments where you can tell that they're taking liberties that most other shows can't with the humor.

SO, that new episode...

I LOVED it. Absolutely amazing. It really sort of justified Trixie's place in canon, not as somepony with bad intentions, but who only desires acceptance. She is unchangeable as a source of arrogance, but at the root of it all she wishes no ill will - she only desires attention.

I feel like this episode accomplished for Trixie the same thing that the Adventure Time episode "Henchman" accomplished for Marceline. Though the fight became heated and desperate, a friendship was forged. And at the end of the day, that's the whole purpose of this show.

I feel like Friendship is Magic has begun to find itself again. At this rate I expect season 4 to be as stunningly perfect as season 1.

It really felt like it didn't necessarily lose anything in transition, aside from what sort of lessons Twilight learned from Zecora, and where Trixie got all that money from. Some horrific things that Trixie did to the community though in the beginning.

Fantastic episode. Might even watch again someday.

On another note, I started work on a Castlevania Hack: Castlemaneia.
It's going to star Twilight Sparkle trying to save Ponyville from... someone I'm not sure about that detail yet, I'm going to wait and see what the pallets let me do, it'll probably be Discord.

I've got the new pallet for Simon/Twilight, I've finished the new title screen and started working on the first stage. (It's not just going to be a texture hack)

Very much inclined to agree. I felt on the edge of my seat for the entire duration of the episode.
