I'm also curious about the reason why it's 13 episodes -- but, again, so long as there's more Friendship is Magic after this season, I'll be satisfied.

Except that William Anderson has hinted that season 4 will be longer than season 3. Nothing to worry about - I'm guessing it's just an issue with scheduling due to new shows they'll be bringing on in January or February.

Maybe they lost their Philippines studios. Or Season 3 will have higher-quality animation. There could be plenty of reasons they're having half as many episodes.

I think the end result is that the fandom will keep on keepin' on regardless of how long season 3 is. It will remain an excellent training ground for artistic craft and trade skills.

I do sincerely apologize for forgetting who originally linked to this first in this thread, (I'm sure you'll understand why I'm apologizing as fiercely as I am in a moment; they must feel forgotten) but I just wish to remind/present everyone with the FanFic Background Pony.

It's very, very intense, I think. Lyra has a curse where she everyone forgets about her every few half-hours or so, more or less. Imagine if you weren't able to save your game in any video game you played. It's a lot like that. Her pain at being perpetually lonely with no name recognizable is made incredibly vivid, and the transformation it plays upon her is even more incredible. I feel so different for having read through it.

Do please give it a chance. It'll really change your outlook on life, if you're open to that sort of thing.
