Random piece of plank? Do you guys mean the sign? o-o
Look carefully in the dirt trail there are pieces of wood/plank/whatever there. I think it looks odd but Keiichi seems to like it there so he can keep it there.

Riddled with foul traps and demonic creatures, little does Link know there will be many
trials that await him within the Forest Temple...

Is this a recreation of the Forest Meadow from Ocarina of Time? Because, if so, it's awesome.
If not, it's still awesome.

A couple of Lynels? Check.

Seraphs and a big bomable wall? No problem.

L2 Peahats behave diffrently to that of their L1 counterparts.

Solid design, but I usually picture forest temples as being a little more derelict... mossy... ruined. Then again, I'm probably basing that image off official Zelda games, so I'm biased.
I tried to make it a little ruined by breaking a pillar. Not much you can do with the GB graphics.

Perhaps.

Take #2
(I thought the entrance was meh, and the windows weren't fitting so I replaced them.)

All of these are random screens from Zelda's Last Wish:

They are good screens. Fit the classic style very well. I like the pallet too.

That's also a well made screen. I see the inspiration taken from Ocarina of Time. Not much to say.

Actually, I call ladders. And only one of them.
