apparently with a few adjustments for legal reasons, Hasbro has made Dr. Hooves the official canon name.

It's been obvious since day one that if he were to become canon they'd have to alter the name, so no surprise there. Regardless, it greatly pleases me that Hasbro's officially acknowledged the good doctor.

Still though, I sometimes wonder what Sydney Newman would think today if he knew that his idea of an old man traveling through time and space in a police box would one day mutate into something like a My Little Pony.

So I just took a look back at the beginning of the topic and it's somewhat of a shock how much you guys have changed since those first posts. I haven't noticed any changes in my own attitudes caused by the show, but maybe it's one of those things like body odor that we have but just don't notice...

Funny how this show has all the elements that should attract basement dwellers like me, yet I can't get as into it as everyone else...There's a couple good episodes here and there and I'll probably watch season 3 just in case, but all in all this show has lost its charm.

So yeah...I guess this meme has finally ceased to be funny for me. Now it just makes me depressed.

I try not to see it as a meme; more of a phenomenon. Individual jokes are all well and good and all, but it's the metagame that I can't help but be absorbed into. It's immensely satisfying.

Or the reason you've lost interest in the show because you only liked it to troll people. Liking something isn't about trolling the guy sitting next to you.

July 15. It was today. But that article was from June last year, so I figured everybody forgot about it.

I actually just stumbled across that article today, while I was going through the first few pages of the thread - Something I just about never bother with, in perpetual threads like this. I just thought it was amusing.
