I'm not sure if many of you have heard of Crypt of the NecroDancer, but there's a Mega Man-based mod for it. No Mega Man music in it, unfortunately.

Oh, this would be as good as any place to talk about this: http://deadline.com/...ies-1201435971/

I'm not entirely sold on the studio doing the series, and also surprised it's not going to be an anime, but maybe it might be good. As long as it stays true to the games and is nothing like that Ruby Spears garbage, this could be enjoyable.

But seriously, I am hyped.

I still need to beat an actual Megaman game though.

So, thanks to this hack, I enjoyed Mega Man 3 for first time ever... Never happened before. Seriously, check it out. Story into the game, sound effects added, important bugfixes and so on... It feels much better than before.

Do you realize how much I've wanted this in, well, any Megaman game?! (well minus the ones that already have it)

I might check it out later. Strangely I was thinking a lot about Megaman again today, including listening to 10's soundtrack again.

Not a fan of it, changes stuff for the sake of changing things and applies the 2006+ AAA publisher's perception of what is "fun" on to the game by removing harmless/fun cheats to mess with. It has several neat changes, but their stuck combined with several changes I dislike so I can't bring myself to bother with it.

Remember that Megaman III was put in the market without being totally finished (It lacks an intro cutscene, even Megaman 2 had it...) Mega man III is a rushed game, so these changes are very welcome for me. I don't care about quick switching of subweapons or quick exit from the stages (these are unnecessary for me), but the extra sound effects, cutscenes or Rush Jet not working in the water are pure win. You can use Top Spin now without worries. Rush shoots bullets from their mouth in the water (like in Megaman 4), and so... Also the lag was reduced. All the game has a much better feeling now and you can understand why there is a giant robot in the end without checking the instruction booklet....

I'd do it myself, but it's hard to top Unlimited.

Well, it depends. Are we talking animated or real life with actors? It would most likely follow the first game, seeing as they'd only have to divide screen time between 6 Robot Masters instead of 8. If it takes an approach like the Megas albums do, and follows the idea of each Robot Master torn between their original personality and purpose against their reprogramming, it could be fairly decent. Keep in mind, even the Megas song combined FireMan and IceMan into one piece, and they could do something like that at least once to pare down how much screen time needs to be divided between characters. (Do it more than once, and it'll seem like a cop-out, though.)

Don't forget, these characters have been given subtle bits of background information in the gallery parts of other games that can be utilized to make some interesting scenes. For example, I remember reading that part of ElecMan's job was giving tours of the power plant. Consider his character design as well. I've always had a mental image of ElecMan designed to resemble a superhero, to try and keep the attention of small children during school tours of the power plant. Imagine a bunch of five and six year olds on a guided tour with this guy when his reprogramming kicks in and he starts attacking people. Most likely a bit dark for what will no doubt be marketed as a kid's movie, but the potential is there.

Long story short, I'll reserve my opinions until I at least get a screen shot of what the movie will look like.

I'm replaying the X series on the snes... I forgot how BAD X3 can be xD X1 is a masterpiece and X2 is very good, it's hilarious how the quality of the series drop like a rock after X2.
