There are two heart containers in level 8, you're probably missing one of those.

updates on it, i did not read this to see what it was. I had not completed it. i am stuck in the temple of time, or what ever it was called. I want to record my playing, but it feels like I have 30 parts and am so early in the game. considering part 34 should be like "I am recording lv 8 now".
I forget where I left off.

I'm hating Level 7 a lot. Very tedious. First level I've felt this way about. I can't even figure out how to hurt the frost dragon miniboss, much less defeat him. Not a single weapon I have has registered a hit.

Use your upgraded weapon you found in the dungeon.

Others have mentioned level 7 as a high point, so this just goes to show that whatever you do, it's impossible to please everybody ![]()
The stone slab in the room right before the miniboss hints at how you can defeat him (FYI there's also a healing tile just before the entrance to the miniboss room, in case you need it).
Like chief said you need to have found a certain weapon upgrade in the dungeon before you can tackle the miniboss.
PS: While it's not necessary, you can get the magic sword in the overworld before tackling level 7, if you haven't already found it. There's nothing that prevents you from beating the level with the white sword (or even the wooden sword), but the magic sword will help.

I haven't found any upgraded weapon in the level so obviously I need to keep searching before I tackle him. Thanks for the hint. And Jamian, the quest as a whole is excellent. I like it a lot. FWIW. And I do have the magic sword.

Antwan, you're going to need to be more specific than that
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
ZC-related bugs can occur if you're using an older ZC build. Specifically build 23 (but maybe older versions as well, I don't know?)
Have you experienced any of the following?
- Level 2 platforms not moving you along
- Magic boomerang not doing what it's supposed to do
- Dark rooms in level 8 (there are none)
?
If the answer is yes, please update your build of ZC. The most current one is build 24 and it will fix the things mentioned above.
I have the latest version of ZC 2.5 and the platforms are not moving me along... what do you do to activate them please help!

BTW, I finished Level 7. It got a lot better and I didn't find the boss hard. Currently starting Level 8.

Where's the other heart container in level 8? I found the one where you start out going left. Do you get it after beating the final boss, or before?
Edit: Beat the game with 70% completion, after 87 deaths, while using 11 potions. I didn't get the extra heart, so it's obviously somewhere else in the level. I've been to every room. There's one room in B2, after a bombable wall, that doesn't seem to have anything except enemies. Do I have to do something there?

There's a wall you have to bomb on the intermediate floor. It is marked (you can see it's a cracked wall) but a lot of players are distracted by the rest of the room and don't see it.

Yep, I found it. Pretty well hidden crack.
As far as the quest, I thought it was pretty well done. It's not my favorite that you've done, but the dungeons were original and very good. Hyrule's Resurrection remains my favorite, primarily because of the variety of environments. The world for this game just wasn't as much fun to explore, nor was there a lot of area to explore. I liked the cartographer idea. In future games, I'd rather the cartographer be in hidden areas that you have to discover yourself, and he gives you paintings showing another location that has some nice items, but not necessary ones. For example, burn a bush, discover a cartographer painting that shows a specific spot to blow the whistle, which opens up a cave with a heart recharge ring. I wasn't really a fan of the red mail cave. I was kind of expecting to find a shop discount item so you COULD buy the red mail. Anyway, good work, Jamian. It was fun and I look forward to your next quest.

Good idea about the cartographer, I might use it ![]()
The red mail shop idea originates from an involuntary incident that occured during one of Jubbz's streams:

I thought it was too funny to not use it - on purpose this time.

lol. That is pretty funny. Yeah, I just saw the cave and expected to get a shop discount item that would let me buy it, like in some of your other quests. So, I was a little disappointed when it didn't pop up.

I'm trying to up my number of hearts - have finished 8 levels and I am presently having problems with the boss after the roc conversation. ( btw, level 8 was a masterpiece, as most of this quest has been!) I have 3 extra hearts - the two in level 8, and the digging game. The arm wrestling - I just can't hit the A button fast enough to win, is there some trick?? The sword game, I did that in what I thought was a very good fashion - hitting multiple targets in a single stroke to minimize the number of sword strokes, firing sword bolts from a distance to minimize the time component....but not good enough, in fact, 'terrible". What COUNTS IN THE SWORD GAME ... time used or sword swings taken???? The dancing I am working on and hopefully will get it, but I am a just an old white boy with no rhythm. So, help me out if there is any help to be given. Again, props on a very well designed quest!!
