... because it's an interesting cameo and it's fun to speculate? Why should people "get over" wanting to bring attention to a fun cameo? Sure, maybe all it is is just a cameo, sure, but it's always fun to come up with little possible ideas or theories, even if they're proven false. ![]()

I don't think we'll be seeing just one rental shop (and hopefully we won't be seeing that god damn creep bunny guy D:) or at least every item being in the rental shop. Mainly because Nintendo should know that'd be tedious. I mean there is a massive inventory which would be mostly blank otherwise and I'm pretty sure Nintendo aren't that risk taking. I called it when I said there won't be any items in dungeons for non linearity's sake. At least we don't get dungeon puzzles that aren't that obvious now. What's interesting though is that her hair looks different than Zelda's.Hilda has longer hair and she has her hair under the gold head ring thingie (I'm too tired to look up what's it actually called). Maybe not plot serious but still intresting.
Also Dark Zelda (or Hilda) pretty much confirms Dark Link... question is, he's he bad or good? I like the concept of a tribe that looks evil but they're not. Kinda like Twili. Hell, they don't even look evil. They just live in a abnormal world.
Also I like the graphics. They could have done better, sure, but they work good.

I'm not trying to start a debate, just express my feelings. I find it odd that everyone keeps saying "give it a chance, it might be good," when I've made a point of saying that in every one of my posts. I just hope the tradeoff introduces some great new stuff so it doesn't just feel like a loss to those who like the old style.
By "debate" it was just a saying, not a real debate. To conclude my point, everyone has a different point of view, so mine is, "let's see what happens"!
(But no, I didn't mean anything by a real debate Aevin, hehe.
Why does everyone keep bringing up that stupid Majora's Mask? Its obviously a cameo. Get over it.
Well sorry for my comment not being of what seems to be of your choice Jared. Thought it was interesting to show it, since no one posted about it here in PZC. ![]()

Oh.
And I'm calling it now: With Zelda's other world counterpart being named Hilda? Watch out for Sabrina the Teenage Witch parodies.

On a lighter, random note, if you add two letters to the end of the item rental guy's name, you get this:
Obviously, to get all the items, you must give him the formuoli.
One idea I'm not sure about yet is the whole, "You lose the items when you die." So... If I traverse all the way to a dungeon, die in the midst of it, and lose the items I needed to beat the dungeon, I need to go back? That seems like a pretty heavy cost for dying. I'd rather it just be you can only rent a couple at a time, and purchasing doesn't count against how many you can rent. (though it would mean the last couple would technically not need to be purchased)
Also, sorry for my little spiel earlier, Aevin. I get a teensy bit frustrated over people who decide something is bad before trying it, especially if it hasn't been done before. But you shouldn't be hounded for having your own view on it, either. Should've caught that you weren't pushing the idea entirely off the bridge, either, when you said Majora's Mask was your favorite despite its differences. (Though granted, I love MM not for its gameplay or anything like that, but the underlying story, tones, and theme)

When was this even mentioned? Also in the Nintendo Direct they said you can rent and eventually purchase the items, but there won't be any items in the dungeons.
Anyhow, I still don't feel this rental shop is a good idea. Just my opinion, but I fear it's going to effect the dungeons in what items are used in them and we won't get creative ones using multiple items to solve a puzzle. From what I recall, the Tower of Hera one didn't require any items other than simply the Hammer, and a lot of the other ones will probably be the same thing just with a different item sadly.

Oh, and after a closer look:

For those worried about how many hearts we'd start with, looks like it'll be three again, as it should be. Not that I hate Skyward Sword for starting with six, I just prefer a bit more challenge with less health in the beginning.

Well starting with 6 hearts meant they could have things deal a greater variety of damage right at the start of the game, which I think they did do in Skyward Sword where as in most of the other Zelda's enemies only did half a heart damage? 1 at most? Though that issue tended to carry forward to the rest of the game content as well in other Zelda's.

While I'm super excited to finally play a non-linear Zelda game after progressively more and more linear gameplay from recent, I can't help but think the graphics are mediocre at best. They're not bad... it's just after playing Ocarina of Time 3D, and witnessing those GORGEOUS visuals, these graphics seem like a bit of a step back. Not that graphics have ever really mattered to me. It's just that I thought Nintendo could do better with the 3DS' hardware.
Other than the less than stellar graphics, I'm very interested in this game. A "Dark Zelda"? That means there's probably maybe a 70% chance that there'll be a Dark Link, and he may or may not be more than just an emotionless boss. Theoretical he could be a character in the "Other World", and maybe, just maybe, he would actually talk. Wouldn't that be intriguing??

After hearing more about the Item system in ALBW. I'm going to be that guy and say I like it. It's really interesting and it could work.
