Hi, I started with this quest yesterday and so far it's been really nice! But now I seem to be stuck and I'm also experiencing a strange glitch, so maybe there's some relation?
I finished the Dark World water temple and am now desperately looking for the Light World equivalent. I circled around the lake to find a cave with some ladder puzzles, followed by another cave which was principally the same but longer. Then there was a house where I was told too look in "West Hyrule". I went there (graveyard area) and tried to push every tombstone etc.
One screen here is very strange, slashing the grass with the sword reveals a staircase below every single square of grass. And each of those ladders leads to the inside of that one Moblin house on the starting island (leaving the house places you back there)
I also noticed that the right tombstone doesn't spawn any ghosts when touched so I think I can move it but it's somehow not possible. Maybe I need to cut the grass to do so, but then the staircase is in the way again?
Here's a screenshot of that weird glitch:

Any ideas? BTW I'm playing with version 2.5-1401, do I need to use another one? The DL page on Zelda Classic didn't say which version has to be used so I simply used the newest available one...

EDIT: Oh, and is it normal that the overworld map is disabled in Lake Hylia and its Dark World counterpart or is that another version problem? This sure doesn't help finding the dungeon.

EDIT2: I re-downloaded both the quest and the 2.5b18 version from the quest homepage (successfully imported the zc.sav from the other version) and now at least that weird glitch is gone (grass can be cut normally) but the tombstone still won't move and the map doesn't work in Lake Hylia...

EDIT3: Finally I found out how to advance after about an hour wandering around aimlessly (found some nice stuff though). I can't believe how stupid I was to not go down a certain ladder back to Southern Hyrule...

Look south of the graveyard. You'll find waterfall cliffside.

I finished this quest a little bit ago. My thoughts:

In the very early stages, I was unsure about it. The first dungeon felt lazy, and having to F6-Continue out of the jail cells was a big part of that (I was unaware that there was a real way out despite my best efforts) and then again when I saw Fire Mountain's palletes, especially on the flames.I stuck with it, though, because it held promise of grand adventure. It started getting a bit better by the sacred forest meadow dungeon, and after Hyrule Castle revisit I was starting to like it. Things really started picking up around the dark graveyard, and after level 4 I was convinced that Souls of Wisdom was pretty damn rad.

So many hours of questing and searching later, I'm at the Temple of Sages. Aw man, this is it. Between level 8's themes and this, it felt very final, very climactic. After a brutal fight in the realm of chaos, I found myself wondering how this was still going.

And then again after the 3 hour work through Ganon's castle, with a nice chunk of that being spent figuring out how to beat him. Never content to grab Navi and just quit, I needed to finish it. I went looking for heart pieces, maxed out my life, found Din's fire, completed 4 classic dungeons before I got bored of them, and found the lost seas.

My GOD the lost seas.

They've got to be the single dumbest thing I've seen. It's got all the annoyances of a normal maze but with the added headache of not being able to see the walls. I realize the secret dungeon should be hard to find, but this is ridiculous. But I have a lot of patience. I went through the rest of the game with minimal help, after all.

thirty minutes pass.

an hour passes.

An hour and a half passes.

progress = 0

Getting to the point, I'm about ready to give up on the legendary secret temple because of this stupid "maze" that was seemingly designed to kill the player's motivation of facing their final challenge. Anyone have a map of it?

I thought gannon was harder than finding the secret temple (I still need to beat him). A trick is to follow the bottom-most path. If the passage is a dead-end, then follow the top-most paths until you get passed the dead-end of the bottom-most path.

NewJourneysFire; have you completed the secret temple? I am assuming you need the master key in order to enter the temple or...?

The Temple of Cole is not yet complete, but the first 4 floors are beatable. The Magic Key is required to enter.

The Temple of Cole is still incomplete. Life situations got the best of me. icon_razz.gif After losing my girlfriend, than my job, this quest has naturally became less of a priority. I may even be facing homelessness, but I don't wanna go there!

Let's just see what happens. I promise when I gets myself back on my feet I will finish this quest.

No worries. My ex will always be a big part of my life because she is carrying my child. I am letting her hold unto my computer because it's safer and more needed with her and the family. Her son still plays Souls of Wisdom she tells me! Haha

OK, I finally got through all the levels (with the occasional help of this thread here) and now I'm in level 9. I ran into a glitch once again in the following room:

IPB Image

IIRC it happened like that: I hookshotted to the pole which is directly to the right of me in the image, coming from the top left corner of the room. I was standing somehow "between two tiles" (vertically) so that I could still hookshot to the pole but the ladder didn't appear. I then went upwards and the ladder appeared. It's hard to see but the ladder is now "vertical" so I can't go anywhere from that position, only a save-reset works.

Glitch aside, I have no idea how to get past this puzzle even after looking at the room for minutes... and I don't want to test around and run into those glitches again and walk all the way back several times until I've figured it out, so anyone got an idea how this is supposed to work?

Look around the room with the lens of truth.

Any hints as to where this key is located?

You get it after beating Ganon.

I am in the fire temple but I have no idea what to do. There's a hint about the eye of the dragon and a hint about blasting for buried treasure, but neither hint seems to be doing me a bit of good. I have the map. I've used one key (I got it in one of the rooms with the treasure chest and the bubbles) but it didn't lead to anything helpful. I only have the regular candle so I can't do anything in the room with the strange tree where I got the map. I need either another key or some sort of item to proceed. A hint?

Not far past the room that had the hungry Goriya, there's a dead end where you can bomb the sand to reveal a path to a key. If nothing appears when you do that, make sure to download the latest version of the quest from soulsofwisdom.com.

Thank you so much Colossal. That did it. I had been stuck for days. I knew that must be a bug (nothing happening when I bombed that spot on the floor that is). I don't remember where I got the quest (I think it was AGN), but, as soon as I downloaded the newest version from SoW.com and overwrote the quest file in my folder, I was on my way. Fire temple is history.
