Why do we have to wait six more stupid days!? We know the game's finished and ready to ship out. Hey, I live near the factory that makes all the games. Maybe I could bribe an employee into letting me get one early. icon_razz.gif

Toys R us is supposed to do some 3 hour demo thing on release day.

Chances are, they'll make me work that shift...

And what does working that shift entail? They're not going to make you dress up in a Pikachu costume or something, right? icon_razz.gif

I accidentally caught a glimpse of Charizard and Lugia's sprites. icon_neutral.gif (Two totally unrelated Pokemon...lol) Most people wouldn't care but I want the whole game to be surprise after wonder after surprise. Oh, well. Two sprites won't ruin it for me. Though, I must say I was quite impressed...lol

As soon as you see Blastoise's sprites, you'll lose the feeling of being impressed. I can tell you that right now. Ugh, they really messed him up.

Good sir, may I causally remind you of these beauties?

Speaking of, here's an artists hilarious rendition of what he thinks they look like judging from their back sprites: http://img121.images...art1byfoxiz.png

If you don't care about seeing the new sprites (like me!) then heres a link to all of them! Yay!

STAFF EDIT: Please remember to follow the Image Size Limits and keep your non-ZC images below 500x500 pixels each.

I would kill to have them use those artist's drawings as sprites in the next game. icon_lol.gif Although personally, I always thought it looked like Venasaur has some kind of radar dish on his back, aimed at the opponent. Something for him to fire solar beam out of, I guess. icon_smile.gif

Regarding the sprites, I agree that R/B/G have the worst in the series. It's not just that they look different, it's that they look like the product of inbreeding. Very VERY occasionally, I encountered one I actually preferred to how they eventually turned out (Gastly, Haunter, Abra, etc.). In my opinion, the games did not acquire an acceptable level of art until G/S/C.

I usually have these types in my current party:

Water (Starter), Fighting (Machop), Flying Physic Bug (Butterfree), Flying (Pidgeot), Ghost (Haunter), and some other, which would be Gligar, when I get it.

Sucks to fight electric Pokemon, doesn't it?

Also; This is the new Rare Candy trick, as far as finding alternative non difficult methods of leveling up pokemans.

Nope, cause Machop can learn Rock Throw, and I think Fissure too. Probably Magnitude, but all work effectively icon_wink.gif.

Heh, I just HAVE to point out Venosaur's sprite.

... man, those were the good ol' days... I think Pokemon had the best sprites of the GB era. Pokemon, and Zelda.

I love how Eevee's original sprite made him look so evil. Really different from what we have now. icon_razz.gif
