Those aren't Hogwarts Robes, its just the ordinary Hogwartsian school uniform. But the next picture will have the Crest of Godric Gryffindor on his left hand side.

Sooo...if you read my post before, you should know that I just started trying to color on the computer. This is what I've got.





Those are what happened. I colored the first time with just fill-ins, but then I decided to try to shade. It's very difficult for me.

What did you do? Just take solid brushes and blur the finale? |:'O
Select different brush types for different shades. Also, it's very pillow-esk. You just shaded around the lineart.
Also, you're not using layers. Layers are vital.
The lineart's too thick and and blocky as well.


When in doubt, try to copy somebody else's art.
Chances are, if it looks the opposite of theirs it's wrong.

I most definitely did exactly what you said(the first part). I know I suck. I already knew that the lineart was too thick and blocky. Oh well. I'll just keep trying.

BTW, I know about layers. I'm just not very good with layers yet. I finally got that down though. What do you mean by different brush strokes?

Types, not strokes. Different sizes and shapes.
