I recently beat GTA V (finally!) on the PS4. Now I'm working on the other side of the coin....Saint's Row IV Re-Elected. Open world games are getting to me.

That moment when you work so hard in a level, and then die right at the end.
The feels ;_;
In other words, still playing Geometry Dash. This is one hell of an addicting game lmao

You'll get through it. Eventually. ![]()
Seriously though, that level is really hard. Sadly, after it, you still have to deal with Clubstep and Theory of Everything 2...

Yeah I'm really not looking forward to those...

I'm still working on The witcher 3. There is no other game that top this game this year. If you don't have it yet go buy it now!

I found a new version of a "Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+" translation that looks and works much better than the original one I had been using. It comes in a set of four patches: one translates the text, one translates the area names when you enter new places, one inserts the audio from the HD ReMix version into the additional scenes so that they have voice acting, and one swaps the "X" and "O" buttons back to the Japanese configuration. I have the first three patches inserted.
The original version of the translation was functional, but it left all of the text looking slightly glitchy, with garbage pixels and anything not deemed necessary simply not getting translated. This version is more complete, the text looks the way it's meant to, and is a much more natural-feeling experience. The only drawbacks are that, again, not everything got translated. Some of the headers for things like the Gummi Ship messages are still in Japanese, for example. The messages themselves are translated, though. Also, a bit of the text still need realigned, as messages overlap in places like the "Land of Dragons" mission-select screen. Still, other than those slight quirks, everything looks rather professionally done.
I started playing through a translated version a while back, but stopped playing and started doing other things at around Olympus Coliseum. I decided to come back to it, wanting to finish before I start Dream Drop Distance. I'm playing it on Critical Mode, but I'm not doing a Level 1 Challenge. (For those who don't know, Final Mix added an even harder difficulty, so hard that they give you a huge number of free upgrades upon starting the game. One of those upgrades that you can turn on will prevent you from getting experience points, so you can try to beat the game at Level 1.) I did make an extra save file with the intro stuff finished, in case I want to try a Level 1 Challenge later on. Anyways, right now, I've just finished Beast's Castle and am about to start Olympus Coliseum again.

Cannot say I hate it but I cannot say I'm liking it either.

Bought AVGN Adventures and ran through the eight regular stages. It was a bit of a pain. Music was pretty damn kickass, and there were some fun parts, but I guess the gimmick of referencing all these things the Nerd hated just made it kind of a chore and an annoyance to play through. I'm still gonna give the LJN level a shot and try to beat it, but I didn't have a ton of fun playing through the game. Just enough to not regret the purchase, at least. Oi.
I feel like I left a Zelda game unfinished somewhere... nah it's just my imagination.

I'm sure Labrynnia enjoys waiting to be saved...

I've been playing two RPGs on the 3DS.
A 5 hour Xenoblade Chronicles 3D marathon. I've learned from Jubbz and Moosh's stream to take my time. I'm almost a Lv 20 and reaching Gaur Plain. Sounds a little overkill.
I'm also playing an RPG called "Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven". It was a blind purchase for me. I only played about an hour of it. I'll share my thoughts on it later.

Ran through the original Donkey Kong Country like I said I would way back when I finished DKC2. And as it turns out, I still like it more than DKC2. That's not to say DKC2 didn't do some things better, I actually kept a small list:
- World map movement speed is better in DKC2, as well as multiple paths through the maps. World map in general really, minus the music; I prefer the first game's music.
- Being able to toss a held item directly upwards is... well, not a huge gain in DKC2, but it's certainly a lot more helpful. Also TEAM ATTACKS. Those are great.
- While DKC1 had better mine cart levels in my opinion, DKC2's physics in those levels were certainly much better, such as being able to jump on enemy cart riders, your speed control, and if you lose a Kong in DKC1, it's kind of easy to lose control and die while switching Kongs.
- DKC2's animal companions were a lot better. Winky and Expresso are kind of dull, while Rambi and Enguarde are great. Rambi got a slight upgrade in DKC2, while Enguarde remains the same, but Squitter and Squawks blow the other two out of the water. And Rattly... he can join Winky and Expresso in the lame corner.
- The bosses. Holy shit DKC2's bosses are so much better. Don't get me wrong, I love K. Rool, but the other boss fights were just kind of simple and easy. DKC2's, meanwhile, are inventive and awesome.
That said, DKC1 seemed to flow so much better with its level design, it was overall a ton more fun, and I just enjoyed the level gimmicks so much better. Things like the stop and go system, the elevator you had to keep fueled, Blackout Basement, and I also feel like the water levels were superior. I think I don't feel as though the soundtrack is that much stronger than DKC2's like I used to, but I still prefer it. Also, while most bonuses in DKC2 were probably better, with actual substantial rewards, one thing I always loved were the animal tokens you could collect to go to those mini stages to collect tons of small ones for points and lives. That's a lot of fun, and I missed that in DKC2.
It felt good to hook up the SNES again and give a beloved game another run. Now if only I can force myself to go back to Oracle of Seasons...

As I said, I don't hate the game, but I cannot understand the love either. It has an unique style, which is a strong point, but it doesn't matter when absolutely nothing in the game appeals to me. I didn't care about the characters, I didn't care about the places, I didn't care about the puzzles... At the end, it was just a bunch of things that happened, and that's pretty much all what the game gave to me.

Tomadachi Life is taking over my Life.
Well, I finished Grim Fandango.

Sounds like the game must be "hit or miss" then.
