Welp. I finally recorded a playthrough of dungeon 2, as well as some field play on what to do in order to get there. I'll probably do dungeon three later on today as well. I just have to try and remember where secrets are now... i can't believe how much I've forgotten about my own quest!
I also found a small bug in the game that I'm happy to have found as it's one that would make it impossible to progress through level 4 as it's one that stopped the Red Candle from being obtained. Which i don't get why the secret stopped working in the first place as my initial playtesting of the dungeon had no problem with it... ahwell I fixed it now, and it doesn't hinder the playthrough of what I've already released as the red candle is not needed as of yet.

I'll upload the videos later on today. I'm also going to work on my forest dungeon some more today, mainly starting the second half of it now, which means a few warps I had made will finally have a destination! Also, the true maze part of the forest temple shall begin... with block puzzles!

Just about finished the 6th floor of my final dungeon today.  All that's left now is some playtesting to make sure everything works right, and then I can move on to the 7th floor... where the final boss is located.

 

Holy crap, I'm actually that close to getting this thing to a "completely playable (maybe send it out to people for beta-testing?)" state!

After an incredibly long spell of dismotivation, I finally got around to getting some work done on my quest. I got my mist-scrolling script finished and working properly, with an insane amount of help from Lejes. I also added in some "quality of life" scripts from the database, for some smoother animations and additional sound effects (Pot Breaking Animation & SFX, Shallow Water & Tall Grass SFX) as well as drawing the appropriate animations and downloading some fitting sounds and added them in, fixed a bug where grass clippings weren't showing properly, and added in some cliff transition tiles as prep-work for applying a modified version of the mist-scrolling script, since my current setup wasn't going to layer correctly for a scrolling background.

 

Hopefully, this period of motivation lasts for a bit longer. I want to finish fixing everything that was wrong or that I wasn't happy with from my last demo before getting to work on new content. I've got a few plans for expanding the ruins area, and adding in a castle town and graveyard catacombs. After all that, if I've still got time, I'll have to come up with some new ideas. I've thought up end-game type stuff, but for organization's sake, I've been putting things together in the order that the player would encounter them.

I've written out the backstory of the new quest I'll be starting soon, as well as writing out the plan of how the first of 4 sections will go. I figured it'd be best to have everything written out first rather than just jumping in blindely like I did with my current quest...

Speaking of, I went back and fixed a few errors that I found (mainly tiling errors and one bug that prevented an item from being obtained) and have worked on a few more screens of the second half of my forest dungeon. Though i'll also probably head back to my second dungeon and add in some things that are missing (decorate around a bit and fill in a few empty rooms)

I hijacked collision detection with enemies and weapons to my own ends. Now I just need to figure out how default ZC handles collisions, because LinkCollision and Collision aren't a close enough match.

Just make a screen, it's like 8 month I don't use zc.
On  a HD monitor the little window of zc is a pain!
