It turns out that comparing Care Bears to MLP an calling the fans that they don't even have yet "Belly-Bros" and "Care Dudes" was unofficial and the Hub apologies for this.
Like I said - simply by suggesting the idea, they've already jinxed it. The brony community wasn't deliberate, it was just a weird thing that happened. Well, a weird thing that exploded, really. Whatever Lauren Faust had expected, it wasn't this. But now Hasbro is expecting it, and I don't think I'm out of line to say that it's not going to happen.

The only pandering MLP did initially was to children of the 90s, and that was mostly for the benefit of the creators so they could make the show without hating themselves for bringing an abomination into the world. Look at their staff - most of their writers, animators and VAs have MASSIVE street creds for some of the most brilliant and beloved cartoons the 90s and early 2000s had to offer. They were destined for success not because they were implicitly trying to find an older market, but because they were trying to entertain kids while making it tolerable for adults. By doing so they unknowingly allowed millions of adults to seek solace in reclaiming their childhood.

But again, it was just a weird thing that happened. You can't fake this s***. This right here is real, and that care bears reboot is just posing. I'm putting my money on it's failure. I doubt it'll have the wit, ambition or forethought that keeps MLP near and dear to our hearts. We already know it doesn't have the art quality to measure up.

But that's not to say I won't give it a fair shot. MLP taught me not to judge anything until I've given it a chance.

I won't have high hopes for it until it gets positive feedback; I won't give it a chance until I'm sure it deserves one. As of right now, it isn't going to be getting more than five minutes from me.

Be my canary/poison tester/what have you.

EDIT: This

SQUEEE! 10 Million Fluttershies!

That said, I now have 19 pony songs. That's three times what I last reported!

Make that 20.

Lauren Faust probably likes Harry Potter because it seems that Spike's mail-fire is inspired by Floo Powder.

Yes, of course that's EXACTLY the thing that would lead people to believe that Faust likes Harry Potter. Clearly it has nothing to do with how directly and deliberately Celestia's "School for Gifted Unicorns" is made to parody Hogwarts...albeit Twilight is more likely to be Hermione than Harry.

Oops, sorry, forgot to turn off my sarcasm module.

Yayz. More pony music. This is also proof why copyright law is ridiculous- or rather that the creative world is better off without copyright.

Dude that is so old.

It's already been remixed as a rap, and given it's own music video.

Also EurobeatBrony is a bit overrated. Go listen to something fresh - Interrobang Pie, PinkiePieSwear, WoodenToaster and NotACleverPony are all excellent places to start.

You're really behind on pony music. Like, really behind.
Here's something a lot newer:

 [/hr]

I'm going to spend this time I have to answer something that was brought up another use of this site. "When the brony thing blows over, will you look back with pride or shame?"

While I could go on about how the "brony" thing won't just "blow over," I'll address the question as it should be.
I will look back onto the community a lot like I do now - pride. Who cares if it might be weird to like a show like My Little Pony? It's weird to do a lot of things, yet a lot of people do it. There's nothing shameful about liking a show like this.

I will look with pride, for the pony community is one of the most accepting and caring fandoms I've been apart of. My pony friends have been extremely supportive of me in my difficult times, and I've seen other incidents where the community has stepped in to help people, even directly prevent them from killing themselves.

I love everything about pony. I love the show, the fanbase, the community, the original content - everything. I will not look back with even a cent of shame.

NotACleverPony

While I do believe NACP is one of my favorite pony musicians, he isn't fresh. He hasn't made any new songs since his health status took a major turn for the worse about a year ago or so, which I can completely understand. I just hope he's okay.

I know I'm behind. icon_razz.gif I only have 21 pony songs. I just never really had a reason to go deep into the fanbase until the episodes ran dry. icon_razz.gif

Why?
Because there's an s*** ton of amazing and mind-blowing music out there to discover, and all of it is better than Eurobeat Brony (let's be fair - an artist who rarely deviates from direct remixes really needs to be more autonomous.)

Artists you should check out if you want good ORIGINAL pony music:
AcousticBrony*
ArtAttack*
InterrobangPie
MandoPony*
NotACleverPony
PinkiePieSwear
VoodooPony*
WoodenToaster
I could go on, but I think this gives you a good head start. File -> New Tab -> url bar "http://www.youtube.com" -> search bar [these artists] -> listen.

*bronies who I became friends with after I participated in the second Brony Remix War.

which reminds me, since you weren't here for my participation in the remix war, you probably never heard this:

Random anecdote:

I'm replaying Dragon Quest IV. In the game, there's a point where you can help to start a new town, and can give it a name. I succumbed to temptation, and named it "Equestria" this time around.

My sister is making fun of me for this. D:
