God help us all, it's an abridged that manages to make me cry.

The fact that Friendship is Witchcraft is the best abridged series ever made has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that it's ponies and everything to do with the fact that it's fecking brilliant and has an insane amounts of effort put into it.

Much sadder/more touching than that for me is the last scene from Friendship is Witchcaft's Lunar Slander.

It genuinely gets to me.

Is it inappropriate to compare this show to an epidemic? I don't think so. There are lots of posts in this topic and the ponies themselves appear as avatars quite, quite often. I wonder how many records this show broke and how many trends it started?

I remember when I was in 8th grade and that song "I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world..." was being sung by all of the young males in my class. I was so confused. I kept thinking "Why the hell are people who make fun of me singing a song that's apparently clearly for girls?" It was right then that I realized that if something is awesome, people will do it anyway. "Awesome" is in the eye of the beholder, but people also like to bandwagon. If people need to think something is awesome to fit in, then they will.

Does this mean that I only watch the show because I'm being pressured to watch the show? Absolutely not. I watched an episode (Season 1, Episode 9, with Zacura's first appearance I think.) to see what it was all about, and I didn't mind it, but I didn't watch another episode for a few months. Then I started with S1E1 and just didn't stop watching, all the way to the latest episode in the middle of season 2.

It's always worth the wait, though.



Well worth the listen. Apparently they put a F*** ton of effort into each episode. I didn't realize how many details they cover in the editing process.

It's funny, because at my middle school, it was actually the My Little Pony song that everyone was singing.

Nope. My Little Pony is a pandemic. An epidemic is contained in a specific location. MLP has spread everywhere.
