Brilliant quest so far.  Although I'm a little put off, as I think I just sprained my wrist AND broke my USB joystick on the arm wrestling champion.  I don't think I can physically move that fast.

 

(But ... I finally worked out how to make AutoHotKey interpret a roll of the mouse wheel as hitting the A button ... and got a heart container.  Yay.)

The arm wrestling thing is very easy for some people, hard for others... It may depend on the controller you're using, or the speed of your keyboard if you're using one (or it may just be one's finger speed, I'm just taking a guess here). I'm playing with a keyboard myself, the one thing I can recommend is to switch to your right hand if you're right-handed.

So far the quest has been awesome, I am at the first boss in level 8 (the weird guy dude who wants to rule hyrule) , and need the red ring.

My opinion on this quest is mixed. I like it, but I don't love it. For no other reason but to say I just didn't feel it. But that's not the reason I stopped playing. My laptop fell and I pretty much lost everything on my hard drive.

@skatz25: Like Luigi said, use the spin attack. Cross beams will help during the first phase (but not the second one - although it's not mandatory, you may want to get hit on purpose there, so the cross beams will no longer work). In the third phase, remember you can also hit a darknut normally and then keep the button pushed to unleash a spin attack within the same "strike".

It's in a shop near the beginning screen. It's available after level 2. If you go there before then, the shop owner will tell you he'll get a shipment of better goods later (i.e. the shield).

Final boss strategies have been posted earlier in the thread but since the thread is now pretty large I'll write this again for easier reference:

Obviously, show up with full health. This is easy, because there is a now empty screen right before the fight, where you can dig for hearts in case you got hurt on the way.

 

Start with your sword beams, then use your arrows once you get hurt. Having the quiver upgrade and showing up with a full quiver is recommended. It is also possible to boomerang her magic back at her if you want, although it may be more trouble than it is worth.

 

You usually just want to stay away from her. During one of the later phases (when she starts shooting rings of fireballs among other things) you want to stay away from her even more than before, because she will attack a lot more if you are near.

 

During the four way fireball spamming phase, she should be easy to hit with just the sword. If she's sufficiently far away from you, you can also take this opportunity to try your luck at digging the ground for heart refills and arrow refills.

 

Once her black shield is activated, just be patient...

 

She is totally beatable without any potion (like the rest of the quest) but having a red potion with you will be helpful.

I need some help with a heart container, I am missing one.  Got the hearts from level 7 and the different games

 

By the way Jamian, the joke red suit shop is funny and sad in the some time, but I do like the idea.
