Quite busy. After failing college and failing at getting a job, I did nothing for a while and just recently finally applied at the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, who will help me find and keep a job I enjoy and am good at. Since I have Aspergers, I qualify for the extra help. ^_^

My life's finally going somewhere! I think.

How about yourself? icon_smile.gif

Also, Mach 5 nothing. I'm the long-lost brother Racer X.

Welcome back. I'm sorry things messed up for you, and I wish you luck at getting established in life.

I need a job myself, and I won't be getting one soon.

Holly Crap, you're back! Welcome back! Now, if you don't mind me being slightly abrupt, do you think you could post in our RP thread. The rest of us waited two months for you. icon_razz.gif

But seriously, welcome back! It's nice to know you're back and well.

Uuuuuuuuuuugh ugh ugh ugh... I should've probably explained something. If someone doesn't post in an RP in forever, it's considered okay to count them out of the story. Then if they come back ages later, they can re-enter the story with a medium-or-long-length story description of what their character was doing the whole time (a.k.a. if the guy went AWOL right before the party went into the Crystal Pyramid, and while he was gone the party met the Crystal Demon which sank Islands A and B into the ocean, then the guy returns, he could, like, meet the party in the town on Island C arbitrarily, describing how he managed to get off one of the sunken islands... or the RPer could be creative and like, have his character have the fever from being in the cold water, adding another angle to the story, etc. As an example.) Who's in that RP? Do all the participants still go to this board? If so, I'll post there, though I kind of dislike resuming a project after months of inactivity (though I've done that several times with Molka Elite icon_xd.gif ).

I didn't know the RP thing was still popular here! I thought after I left again it would die off. Care to have a SimBattle, Russ? You could either start the thread or I could if so. We'll see if I can't remember how to do it after months of being gone, heheh... icon_ohmy.gif

Also, I should probably ask the Mod of OTBP if it's permitted to bump my Moogle Comfort thread, huh? I bet some of you wanted to know what happened next...

Also, I posted in my QPF at long last. I could use some opinions this time. Again, I blame the rust. icon_razz.gif

Also, too many alsoes.

OOH. When I said "too many alsoes", you reminded me of something. You guys have to watch This. This is one of my favorite episodes... I LOVE their expressions... icon_xd.gif (Video might be a little slow, but it's the best one I can find; there used to be one on YouTube but the account got suspended...)

Yes, the RP thread is here: http://www.purezc.co...showtopic=37248. Everybody still comes to the board, and you left off right before Alestance was about to explain everything, so I've sort of been dying to know what happens next for two months. icon_razz.gif

And I'd love to have a SimBattle. You can start it though, as starting them is my one big weak area.

Hey, Schwa! I wish I could say something more unique than "Welcome back.", but I can't think of anything, so....Welcome back! icon_smile.gif

About vocational rehabilitation, though....I don't know how it's done where you are, so take this with a monster grain of salt, but I've been in it here for a good number of months, and it really hasn't worked out. They seem to have NO influence whatsoever with any local businesses (none that I want to work at, anyway). In fact, it appears to be just the opposite; the vibe I'm getting is that many businesses actively avoid hiring those associated with them. So be careful. I've been reduced to hitting up the fast food joints in desperation.

By the way, what is Aspergers? All I can get online is: "Asperger syndrome is the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in which there is no general delay in language or cognitive development.'"

That makes it seem like it's really nothing.

Let me think... Aspergers is so diverse it's hard to describe it in simple terms. Um...

Aspergers is spiritual. We see the invisible, sacred side of our surroundings without being able to see it through normal eyes. Kind of like how when you see a person's shadow, it's not exactly what that person really looks like. I would use a 3D-Glasses analogy too but that might be a little corny. Anyway that's only ONE of many angles to it... It's like we're half "normal", half Autistic. We live both worlds. I can talk to someone like a normal person, but meanwhile my mind is analyzing things about the person and about the room the way an Autistic person would, forming information connections in ways nobody else would, which can be either good or bad. You know how Autistics sometimes rock back and forth for hours? I found myself doing that once when I was uber stressed. From then on I've called that "our ancestor's ancient technique". My other Aspie friend heard me say that and she just died laughing. icon_xd.gif

Hope that was helpful... Might be kinda confusing though. icon_wacky.gif

Edit: Oh, and hello to you too, Koopa and Ireclan! ^_^ (Yes I'm still calling you that. Unless it bugs you.) I never thought about that before, with the businesses looking down on DVR, but if it happens, they'll have some people very angry at them, because my parents (especially Mom) tend to be a bit too hawklike when it comes to what they consider "my best interest". In this case I guess that's a good thing. No matter though... I'm just playing this by ear, dealing with whatever comes up. Not worried at all.

You know, Aspergers almost sounds good when you put it that way. It's like getting the upsides of normality and autism.
