Does anyone know of a free skin editor, so I don't have to live with the plain skin?

Yeah, I know, it's not all that impressive. I go for a very clean, simple look without any unneccessary functionality. Simplicity is nice.
Also, after reviewing the last few desktops, bonus points are awarded to the following two people:
Taku of Miso, because Ikaruga is simply awesome, and unfairly looked over.
Takuya, with retro points, because the name "Nick" is on his desktop. Forgot about that.

Ok. I had to reformat my computer the other day because it was acting stupider than stupid. A lot of stuff was weird or just not working. After reinstalling XP, I went at it customizing the whole desktop, as you could probably tell. Here we go with the list of goodies:
1. You'll probably notice the dark visual style. Before you go thinking I hacked up uxtheme.dll, you might as well not think that. That visual style is the secret "Royale Noir" style that was supposed to be part of XP Media Center Edition, but never got released till someone dug it up. I wanted something dark to go with my darker ツバサ・クロニクル (Tsubasa Chronicle) wallpaper, so I snatched it up quick.
2. You'll notice one more thing looking at the taskbar. You'll probably notice how my Start button doesn't say "start" anymore, but instead has the Japanese equivalent, which is "スタート", or "suta-to." Hacked a couple of resource scripts in the shell to make that one happen.
3. The usual widgets are all over the place. The same old Haiku generator and flashcard-type thing are still up in the top left, just bigger than before. On the right, I used a better widget for shortcuts than I was using. At least if I add another shortcut to the folder each one corrresponds to, the widget actually updates without me having to restart it, and automatically orders the icons based on the numbering sequence I give in the filenames. black background is just a logo widget stripped down to the bare minimum. Its about as simple as a widget can really get, but it does give the icons a background, since the launcher widgets lack background graphics. Along the bottom you'll find the recycle bin and system volume controls. I also slapped a media player widget right there so I can listen to JPop/JRock/Anime radio stations all day long (I spent 2 1/2 hours finding a widget that worked with streaming radio through iTunes (yes, the slow pile of junk needs a serious attitude adjustment. When I installed it, instead of showing up in English or at least Japanese, it showed up in Chinese. I switched it to English, and restarted it. Guess what? Korean this time. I guess it really likes East-Asian languages... minus the one I was trying to put it in of course
You can probably tell its still a work in progress, since most of my icons are blank. All I have in there right now are invisible placeholders that lead to nowhere. They'll all come back as I get everything reinstalled.
That's about all for now. I wonder if someone would think I was actually on the Japanese Windows Xp if I showed that one to them, because almost everything that could possibly be in Japanese is in that screenshot except for "Items" in the recycle bin widget, which I could easily change in about 2 seconds.

All right, I've got one. Though I doubt anyone will actually look at it. Maybe I'll be surprised?

Anyway... here's my new one (first time using the olive green color scheme) (56K WARNING: 1 meg)

I had to scale it a bit so the file would be small enough for Imageshack to load, but oh well. Yes, for those who see my battery icon, I do have a laptop.
