I'm currently playing A Link Between Worlds on the 3DS and got one more sage to rescue. I'm also playing Alpha Sapphire here and there.

On the Wii U I'm playing Hyrule Warriors and Super Mario World when I need a break from it.

Next on my 3DS I plan on playing Ocarina of Time 3D and on Wii U Wind Waker HD. Though I'm not far into Hyrule Warriors yet so it will be a while before I beat it and start Wind Waker.

I finally beat Tales of Hearts R. Overall, I definitely put this game up there with Symphonia and Vesperia as one of my favorite Tales games. While the story is as generic as a typical JRPG with all of its cliches, it makes up for it with a near-perfect battle system. And I say near perfect because it does have a few issues such as the knockback and the unorganized strategy menu. The characters are also very likeable (minus Kor). Hisui is such a badassed character and Kohaku is a freakin' dangerous tomboy. Then you got that robot Kunzite who has very funny skits. I say Hearts R is worth picking up if you own a Vita. Especially for fans of Tales of Vesperia for the battle system is very much like it.

I played DKC2 recently, and just realized after all these years, that the title is actually "Diddy's Kong Quest" and not  "Diddy Kong's Quest". >.>

It didn't take me long to figure that out. It took me longer to figure out it was a pun on "conquest" though... :P

But yeah, that game was great.

@franpa: Thanks for the link, I was looking for something to spice up the gameplay!

Dragon Warrior IV on the good old NES.Probably my favorite in the NES series (I never played any game past IV, so I don't know if I would like the other games more). Just started and got access to the tower in Chapter 1. Planning to return once Ragnar has his Half Plate armor and at least somewhat of a weapon upgrade; my first encounter nearly ended in death. I don't want to get TOO big of an upgrade; I don't want to waste 800+ gold on an Iron Spear just to get the Sword of Malice free within the dungeon, now do I? Then again, towards the end, I do intend to abuse a little exploit where I spend all of my money on equipment so I can somewhat transfer money between chapters. So yeah, Ragnar has a bit of grinding to do.

I love how Dragon Warrior IV is probably one of the only NES games that has a female character that isn't a mage of some kind. Seriously, I have a mad crush on Alena. She is easily the strongest character in the game due to her high chance of getting a terrific hit, her insanely high Agility and ability to hit twice with the correct weapon. Sure her weapon selection is garbage and her armor choices are miserable, but does that matter when she almost always goes first and hits like a truck? She is always a choice in my final party for that reason.

Just sucks any of the mages are terrible once the AI takes control in Chapter 5. No matter who you pick, they have to be idiots. Cristo spams Beat/Defeat (instant death) on bosses, Brey spams Chaos (confusion), not sure what idiot stuff Nara does because I never use her. At least Mara has the intelligence to use an attack spell, not spam status aliments that never hit because the enemy is a boss. Nara, I don't know because her HP is too low for me to let her in my party. I usually go Hero-Alena-Cristo-Mara, although there probably is a better formation.

That's probably one of the only thing I dislike about the original Dragon Warrior/Quest IV; you can only control the Hero/Heroine and the AI isn't the brightest. Not to mention I tend to get kill stolen a lot. And like all NES games, if you attack a dead enemy, you waste your turn. Was that really system limitations not letting you re-target? Or just piss poor game design? I would say I have about a 50/50 chance of actually getting an attack in, thanks to my party doing that. Oh and they don't pick their command until their turn comes up. But yours is entered and locked in. Hope Alena doesn't kill that Ogre you were going after! Or Nara/Cristo heal someone before you get a chance to, wasting your MP healing someone at full HP!

Despite this flaw, I still give Dragon Warrior/Quest IV on the NES a 9/10.

So, out of sheer boredom, I have decided to have all the characters have a team tournamet in my Super Smash 3DS. I got two sets of 30 teams, where the teams are compiled from their respected game series... for the most part (obviously some had to be combined). There are 5 teams per series, and I got 12 series in total (by use of combining some).
For the most part, it evened out pretty well, though I had to hold some preliminaries to settle some teams which, I must say, lead to some interesting matches (preliminaries where 1 minute battles/team battles with a 100% handicap).
The main battles for round 1 will be a 3 stock battle with the 100% handicap with explosives being the main drop, with fruit and Team Heal being the only health drops.
For the pairings, I tried to get every character in the series to be paired with another, though sometimes I had too many, which lead to the preliminaries. After getting every team ready, I went down the list and put them alternatively in the A or B pools, plus gave them a number in order of appearance in each pool. Afterwards I used a random number generator to get the matches set up on each side.
They are single round knock outs, and every round one stock is added to the count.
Better to show what I got than try to explain it all :

Super Smash Bros Tournament of Boredom

The names in square brackets where the Blanks (or undecided) characters on the teams.

As you see I already have started it with two fights sofar.
Some of the team set ups where arbitrarily decided on my end (but hey, it's my thing that I set up) and originally it was going to be with customizations, but that would take alot to set up and I am actually rather curious as to who would win in a non-augmented fight... if I enjoy this then I will set up a customization tournament with set ups that would reflect how I think the characters would be (for instance, Dark Link would be massively strong and fast, though I think lower defense, where as Fierce Deity Link would be more rounded though still with alot of strength, and Golden Link {taking place of regular Link} would be mostly with Defense) I'd also mess around with their move sets as well.

So yeah, if people enjoy this idea I'll post results and such (I would post individual battles as videos, but i don't have any recording software or capture cards on my 3Ds, and don't know how to otherwise...)

So I've been playing Quake and managed to beat the first 3 episodes on Normal Difficulty, the 4th episode... no. It introduces a new enemy (Blue stretchy bouncy thing) that deals a large amount of damage and is difficult to keep track of/aim at, it also drastically increases the chance of you getting ambushed anywhere in each level and the enemies you fight in general are just not easy to deal with without a lot of circling/dodging and stuff. It just increased the difficulty too much for me :/ The mission packs aren't much better either, or at least the first mission pack so far.

While waiting for Codename STEAM, I decided to play some random RPGs. I ended up playing Eternal Sonata for PS3. I always keep forgetting how much harder this version is compared to the 360 version. On the 360 version, you can take out bosses rather easily, but on the PS3 version, bosses can complete wreck you if you aren't careful.

Spawns/Tarbabies? Those bastards are hilariously horrible trolls.

By the way, it turns out that link was of no use to me (yet) so I used the Bestiary pack from the Quake Reforged page. I'd use Rygel's Ultra Texture pack too, but the file size... YIKES (it's higher than 2 GB). Maybe I'm too persnickety, but I value my drive space.

EDIT: Apparently I mistook it for another mod. I just downloaded an Xolveoptimized version of the Rygel pack, which weighed in at 1.3 GB. Not too bad, but I had to do some disk cleanup after setup...

Soo, playing SSB 3DS, and I haven't played the Classic for a while (basically since I got it) and... yeah my character was waaayyy OP for the level of play that I set it to. I guess I was too used to doing it with the default character :P Anyways, I think it'll be fun to see on how high of an intensity i can get it up to before it gets too hard for me and I switch back to the smash runs :P

I finally beat A Link Between Worlds today, it was a great game and the ending had a pretty good twist though still not surpassing Link's Awakening. This is the first game I beat in a good 7-8 years since I quit gaming.

Next on my 3DS list is Ocarina of Time 3D. I played it on N64 but never beat it so I'm pretty much starting off new.

I just played Cities Skylines for 4 hours straight. It is so freakin' addicting. Definitely a lot better than Sim City so far.

Playing Miles Edgeworth AA Investigations, and I'm close to wrapping up the fifth case. I actually just got into the PW series about 2 months ago with the Trilogy and 3DS, and I've been motivated enough to go play every game after it since.

Time is split pretty evenly between Besiege, I Am Bread, and the MC server I just set up a few weeks ago.
