-Spend two weeks writing a rough draft and a month and a half editing -> get shut the f*** down without so much as a 'better luck next time'.
-Spend ten minutes writing a rough draft and no time editing -> they f***ing love it.
s***, man.

You know what? f*** it. I'm not writing for EqD anymore.

That's not good to hear.
I could say that they're a bunch of idiots who have no idea what something written well looks like; but I only go there to get links to episodes, so I don't really know enough to say that. Regardless, that is ridiculous; I'm sorry to hear it.
You watch Adventure Time; you're close enough, all you need to do is take that last step.

I'm making lemonade so you don't have to.

The process works like this: you submit your rough draft/story concept/outline/thesis statement though our website, and one of our editors (whoever's interest it happens to pique) would pick it up and discuss how to progress with it. If someone has an excellent concept and excellent vision but admits to having no skill with writing or craft, we might pair them up with an established writer in the community who happens to not have a project and who is also intrigued by the idea.
After that we would collaborate with the author(s) to find a good piece of cover art to represent the story and develop a good synopsis to present so that we can give them a "coming soon" notice on the main page. Meanwhile, they would work on developing their story and collaborating with their editor to make it the best it can be.
Any thoughts? Anypony want to help?
EDIT: Tentative site http://shonenpony.thedevhome.net/
May get a separate domain eventually but for now this is fine.

Adventure Time isn't meant for young children so, I relate to it more
Not saying any of you are wrong for watching MLP, it just doesn't appeal to me is all
