TGL is my favorite game on the NES, bar none. I would really like to give Optomon's Secret Edition version of it a try, since from just seeing the SHMUP stages alone, I think it may push me to my limits, especially the super hard buffed up Glider and especially Teramute, who went from a joke boss to a nightmare. Willow I never really gave an honest attempt. If memory serves, I got up to the part you get the Devileye Sword and you're supposed to find the Wakka Seed, but I remember trying to go underwater without it and met a swift demise. Yeah, never liked how slow grinding is and how if you die, you lose ALL of your experience up to that point. I did try to use a password to do the final dungeon, but I could never defeat Kael. Now I know how, but it's been so long since attempting the game.

Anyway, more OSRS Iron Man crap and made a new OSRS pure I'll be grinding on. Eventually.

On another note, I think I am going to try a hardcore run of FF1 for the NES and possibly an Iron Man on Minecraft. Hardcore run of FF1 will mean that I will roll a die and pick my party based on that. Once a character dies, that's it; he/she is gone for good. For being petrified, if the character can get cured of STONE status before a game over occurs, he/she is still alive. The game must be played at reasonable levels; getting to level 25 before Astos for instance is not allowed. As for the Minecraft Iron Man, here would be the rules:

-I may NOT store items at all (that includes chests, hoppers, furnaces, dispensers, etc)

-I have to have a new base every night

-Game must be played on Hard (not Hardcore)

-Should I die, I am NOT allowed to retrieve any items that I lost

Let's see if I can actually develop inventory management skills...lol

On another note, grats to this thread hitting 3k posts.

Haha, Skull Woods is about "finding your path to the boss" =P That's the point with the "pointless rooms"... Not every room needs a purpose. Different design philosophies. If you get confused by that, the game accomplished something. Thank god, Zelda wasn't always about puzzles in every room. Misery Mire is another dungeon that has a lot of Z1 influence. Remember that this series started just about fighting and orientation. Skull Woods is one of my favorite dungeons, I love dungeons with a lot of entrances/exits.

Well, what I meant by "pointless rooms" is that it's super simple to get the boss key and dungeon item then move on to the last stretch without doing anything else, leaving a big chunk of unexplored dungeon, which is honestly kind of disappointing because, after intentionally exploring the entire dungeon this time, I found the gimmick kind of interesting, however it's really easy to avoid the pits into other parts of the dungeon, therefore it's pretty easy to miss a chunk of it even if you're not familiar with the dungeon.

Full disclosure: I love Misery Mire.

You can even reach the big chest without having to trigger a Star button to change the black pit locations in the chests room. By default there is a huge pit barring your way to the switch to blow up the wall and reveal the path to the large chest but you can walk along the right edge of the pit and then the bottom edge of it to reach the switch. It's explained here (With pictures): http://www.zeldadung...gh/skull-woods/

It skips a puzzle involving triggering a star switch and reaching the large chest without heading outside (Pits are reset to default locations when leaving the dungeon).

NES has a lot of fantastic exploration adventures *.* TGL has a lot of fun, specially by the weapons. But I like more games that have total open exploration, like Legacy of the Wizard, Solstice, Zelda or Metroid. I'm playing Willow for the first time, when you have "fleet" and the "ocarina" (both are spells), you are safe. It's not as great as Adventure of Link or Crystalis (Willow is a quite slow game), but have a fantastic atmosphere and music. I love the wind blowing in the battles. I can't say is a "must play", but it's an interesting game to play if you are into classic action jrpgs. Mapping, mapping everywhere. I didn't need to grind.

I played some Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd for the PS3. I don't know how I suddenly liked this series. This game is a very challenging rhythm game. Personally, it's more challenging than its predecessor.

I just picked up Duet and Angry Birds Star Wars for mobile....I like them both, but greatly enjoy the challenge Duet has.  IN Diablo II I am playing a Paladin named Percival...I think I'm like level 8 or 9 so far...Then there's the original Dragon Warrior, Startropics, and Ninja Gaiden.  Can you believe I've never played Ninja Gaiden ever?

Yep. The DX version is the only version on eShop. I've also been playing that. Except I got distracted by Hyrule Warriors again. :heh:

Haha, I like the original because of the massive sequence breaking you could do! I loved the select warping to do stuff early and keep Marin for basically the whole game :D

theatrhythm final fantasy curtain call. I can't stop playing it, and my hand starts to hurt after playing it for a while. Probably not going to stop for a while, though :P

Been playing alot of Super Smash lately... unlocked so many things that I haven't done yet and have been doing alot of Smash Runs in order to get equipment and such... (I must say, after Link, Lucina is my second best character!) though I think I have to start using new characters in order to get some new ability sets as you get the character being used as the predominant set...

Kind of taking a break from trying to do a living dex in Alpha Sapphire. I was originally planning to play Etrian Odyssey Untold until I felt like working on my living dex again. However, after talking with friends, I decided to do another round of Etrian Odyssey IV instead. >_> I had a solo run going at a point earlier, but ditched the save after finding out the end game stuff takes an absurdly long time solo. I'm not surprised exactly, but I don't have the patience to sit through certain battles taking as long as they would. >_<

Anyway, I decided to do a few things differently this run. I'm running a very different party than last time. Before, I ran -

Old party, spoilers on later classes

The new party as of right now is -

Night Seeker - Focusing on ailments. I'll probably have him use that one decoy skill as well
Dancer - Focusing on healing dances primarily, though I'll probably invest into other stuff later.
Fortress - Taunt build.
--
Runemaster - Not sure exactly. Doing a fire build right now, but that's subject to change later.
Sniper - Focusing on binding the crap out of the enemy

So even for classes I used before, I'm trying builds I never did previously. However, to make the run more interesting for me, I decided on a few restrictions.

The first is seen in the party itself - no medics. This means I'll be relying on my dancer to keep the party up through regen waltz as well as packing plenty of curatives.
The second restriction has to do with equipment. I'm allowing a weapon and one piece of armor - nothing else. This will mean money management will be easier so upgrading gear will be far more doable, but it'll be interesting to see how this'll affect the later parts.
And finally, the big one - no subclassing. I'll be relying on what each class has to offer upfront.

I will allow myself to use the unlocked classes though, which I think I'll end up doing with at least one. My goal is to beat the final post game boss, but we'll see. :P Just beating the main game will be interesting. XD
