Wow, very nice. I'd make a duplicate of those LA grass blade tiles and make a single grass blade version of them (do you follow me on this?). Now I'd change the tree trunks to a dark grey, or maybe make the mountains grey and leave the trucks brown. The more colour (well technically grey is a shade) the better! icon_smile.gif

EDIT: Also wouldn't hurt to try to re-add some red trees only occasionally so green is still the dominant tree colour.

And let me see if I follow correctly here With the LA grass blades make them with a single blade like this right?
And if I didn't follow you too well could you show me what you meant? with the LA Grass blades.

Ah, that's what I meant. But for variety's sake try to mix the single grass blades with the double.

So is this an official quest? If so, can't wait to see more!

Please make a tile where you overlap the grass with mountain(or put a layer of grass under the mountain). why you may ask: the place where the mountains and grass meet the grass gets sharply cut , though it should overlap a bit.

@Shane: Okay good I'm glad that I got the blades of grass looking better, and thanks for the tip I'll remember to mix them up a bit with the tiles.

And This might be a official quest, (What am I saying) Yeah its a quest I've been working on for a while. Right now though I've been just playing with colors to see if I can make the graphics a little more unique. and so far so good icon_smile.gif

@aaa2: I'll be working on that in about a second, I've seen that the grass tiles gets cut off abruptly. and so I will be addressing it.

Looks good, but are they not all copies of the Z1 screens? I can't see any differences from them.

Working on my DoR skills. I don't cram everything into a screen, so in my eye, the open flow is quite pleasant.

Ventus: That Classic screen is okay in concept. Nothing to complain about but the green. It's not...fitting to the cream ground color.

Although quite simple, I think it looks really nice! I would replace the sand path with a dirt one though. It doesn't look quite right the way you have it right now. Also, the little bench tile in the lower right edge is kinda in the way. I would move it.

But still, looks really good to me. Keep it up icon_thumbsup.gif

I can see your point, and I do agree to an extent regarding the sand. However, the screen is based off a local area in nature. I live near a river called Sand Creek. I wish there was dirt around here; sand, weeds and moar sand.

Looks nice to me. It has a certain rustic, open, beach-like feel to it. It's tough to explain. But I like it. icon_thumbsup.gif

@ Gonken: Yes, it's an enhanced version of the original. Of course the overworld looks like Hyrule, but once you advance to the north and also to the dungeons, you will find varieties. I have had to rebuild the overworld from scratch due to tileset mismatches in the 2.5 beta default tileset. I couldn't just copy it from an older version. I took the opportunity to integrate the new animated water, new bush textures from the beta, etc. icon_smile.gif

By the way, the Gohma cave entrance for Level 2 is new (need an arrow to shoot the eye for freeing the entrance), also the statues are new (tile textures) at the entrance of Level 5, basically all trees, statues and bushes have new textures. The palette has slightly changed (both Hyrule and Mirror Hyrule). The changes are admittedly subtle, butt I'm not a very advanced editing guy, I like to keep the changes small, but entertaining.
