I reckon a sequel to Link's Adventure would be great if it incorporated at least all of the items that LttP or Link's Awakening introduced to the series. As it is, there just isn't enough item/gear variety to keep the players attention during the mid to end-game and the combat mechanics can become stale fairly fast (You don't even get new swords or tunics!).

You really need to exploit the palaces by completing them but not handing in the crystal orb at the very end of them until you've leveled each skill up to level 6, otherwise you'll be grinding a ton of XP in the late game.

If they did make a sequel to Link's Awakening, they better let you jump to the other side of the screen using the select button, like the old one.  Exploring glitched areas and dungeons gave me the most amount of fun.

Once, I figured out a consistant way to delete your save data.  If you screen-skip to the Wind Fish's Egg, and screen skip past the final boss room, then walk back, the screen will warp (like you're teleporting using the ocarina), then the game will freeze.   The first time that happened to me, it scared me, because I thought it was the final boss punishing me for trying to beat him without completing the dungeons.

Oops, I mean The Adventure of Link*

If I get the chance in school, I have thought a ZII "expansion" would be cool. Keep many of the things that made the game cool, but in the caves or dungeons let the player have bombs or the hook shot or bow to use. I would really like to clone ZII as a college final. By the way, I am playing ZII on gba so that we're still on topic. Got to get through the Final Dungeon still...

ah yes, that final dungeon... Luckily I have it memorized for when I play it as it is quite confusing at times. I really need to get all the Zelda games I can onto my 3ds... Mostly because my GBA is starting to not register button presses... Especially the R button (which sucks because I need it in my Sword of Mana game...)

But I agree, if thou made an expansion or such of ZII, it would definitely need more items in it, atleast in the caves and palaces.

A thought occurs to me, derive an entire 2D side scrolling game from all the side scrolling segments in Link's Awakening (With a larger resolution to fit more content on screen at any one time to allow for more complex puzzles/level designs).

I recently beat Alpha Sapphire, though I'm still doing post game stuff. I've also decided to try to take on the challenge of doing a Living Pokedex. No idea how long it'll take me, especially since there will be Pokemon I won't be able to get any time soon. (Like event legendary Pokemon I missed, or ones that I'm missing from the opposite version.) But it'll be an interesting challenge to be sure! Plus, when we inevitably get to generation 7, I'll have the Pokedex largely completed from before. :P (So long as they keep using Pokemon Bank, that is. >_<)

Recently beat Alpha Sapphire, including the post game, and I'm now just going over every route to check I got everything. After that, I'm just gonna try to get everyone up to Level 100.

Beat ALttP again recently, somehow finding even more things to love about it. And one thing to dislike: What's with the pointless room in Skull Woods behind a locked door? That's kind of... dumb. Then again, 75% of Skull Woods is pointless rooms...

Need to start Link's Awakening soon, then OoT, and before MM3D comes out.

Also have been progressing in Starbound after the newest update. The game's so much better now than it used to be, with some concerns and drawbacks that the original did better, yes (LIKE BEING ABLE TO REPAIR PICKAXES AND DRILLS), but mostly it's a better experience now.

I really need to get Link's Awakening on my 3DS.... I want to play that game again, and as my GBA is currently not working properly due to button malfunctions, it leads to sad times for this panda

Spoiler

Anyways, I'm still playing Monster Hunter 3, and think after doing a few more hunts (finally got to where I can beat the Gigginox without dying in the HR missions, which I find are just plain harder than the story missions) I'll return to Super Smash 3DS.

I dunno about the shoulder buttons, but if you can get the y - shaped screws open on a gba, if you have an old remote control for a TV or similar use an xacto knife to carefully carve out the buttons on the remote to fit the faulty buttons on the gba. If the pad with the faulty button is attached to good buttons, with a small amount of time and a lot of care you can get the new button to fit as snug as Link's hat. I had to do that to mine to play Yoshi's Island.

It's mainly the right shoulder button that's messing up, but it's affecting the others for gameplay at times too somehow. I will have to take it apart to fully see what's up, but I'm assuming the worst at the moment. It might just be something being loose... I dunno.

It's an sp version (the one that is square and closes) if that makes any difference.

*edit* god damn phones with the auto correct.... Spelling fixed

Eek..those buttons don't have rubber. They are little blisters of metal or otherwise tiny little clickers... my trick may not be feasible on an sp.

Hmm, so it's a higher difficulty quest then... Well, I'll still open 'er up and take a look and see if it's something that I can repair or if it's just misaligned or something like that. If not, I'll check amazon for a new one if it's a relatively cheap price.

I started playing Far Cry 4 for the PS4. So far, it's Far Cry 3 in the Himalayas. Gameplay hasn't really changed that much from its predecessor. Man eagles are scary in this game. They appear from out of nowhere! D: Jubbz beware!

I'm playing The Guardian Legend and Willow, both for the Nes.

Haha, Skull Woods is about "finding your path to the boss" =P That's the point with the "pointless rooms"... Not every room needs a purpose. Different design philosophies. If you get confused by that, the game accomplished something. Thank god, Zelda wasn't always about puzzles in every room. Misery Mire is another dungeon that has a lot of Z1 influence. Remember that this series started just about fighting and orientation. Skull Woods is one of my favorite dungeons, I love dungeons with a lot of entrances/exits.
