Well, ALBW's official release date is November 22nd in North America. (11/22!) It's a Friday too! I hope NoA sticks with the Friday releases.
Nice to know this finally... I've been waiting for the date. Now I'm going to try to get this thing preordered.

I've gotten me a copy reserved at gamestop, now to play the waiting game (I hate the waiting game its so hard).

It has too many levels and the shortcuts aren't worth the risk.

Small update but thought it was worth bringing up.

Basically, the songs aren't made with a real orchestra after all, which is in a minor sense disappointing, but the songs still sound like they were made with real orchestra so that's not a big deal. Actually kind of impressive that they had us all fooled.

It's what I expected tbh, they're still just using what is essentially MIDI with a neat Sound Font.

Looking around and seen what game-stop is giving for the pre-order bonus for this game.

Well I guess its alright but I already have the Oracle of seasons game on VC :\
I might be able trade it for something maybe to someone ![]()

Yeah, I saw that. Kind of a... disappointing reward. Partly because tons of people already have it, mostly because Ages is tons better. :tard:
What would have been better is if the download code was for A Link to the Past before anyone else had access to it. That would have been really neat. But... ah well, whatever.

Those graphics are kinda super ugly. The super-saturated everything immediately reminds me of Lisa Frank.
ew
For direct reference, the third shot there looks far more noticeably blocky than the LTTP ones did, which would seem hard to do.
What's sad for me is that updating these graphics can be done well! They did a far better tribute with the Four Swords Adventure GC game. Lots of depth, personality, etc. That game was beautiful. Everything in this world looks stupid happy for some reason. Shame art director. Shame.

After watching Nintendo Direct, I have to say I'm liking the non-linearity approach to this game and how it abandons the whole, get new item and solve puzzles with that new item approach. It will sure make people think when approaching each area of the game.

Screenshots! I'm really liking how this is turning out. "Dark Zelda" looks neat. I imagine this means that the Dark World isn't just a chaotic hellish place, but definitely has more to it than we've seen before.
I think the renting service is an idea with a lot of good potential. Though, what I'm particularly worried about is that there's probably, definitely a limit on how many items you can take with you at once. I wouldn't mind if some of the items were ones you could have permanently, particularly basics like the bombs, bow, and boomerang. I imagine the hammer, for example, will be needed more than just once, but it'd be nice if we could get one of our own along the way, instead of having to go back to rent it again five dungeons later, along the way.
Another issue would be the Twilight Princess problem- an item basically being useful only once or twice, and for its designated dungeon mostly, and then no longer being needed.
Still, I welcome a non-linear Zelda with open arms.

Lack of linear progression I'm totally okay with. Find items outside dungeons I'm fine with. Going to a dungeon, finding that you need a hammer, running back to the start, paying to rent it, then running all the way back... that just seems a bit pointless and tedious honestly. Not to mention, when I find an item, I want to keep it, not return it after it's solved the puzzles in my way. Eh, oh well.

Actually the new ways things are handled sound extremely fun and will hopefully lead to some nice new quests being made ![]()

It sounds like Link got a new voice. The end of the trailer/video made me laugh. He definitely sounds more like his character artwork! The non-linearity makes me excited too, because none of us are used to it in Zelda games.
I'm so excited.
Why cant I have it now?!
Edit: Looking at these shots,

The second bird statue looks droopy, and looks like it needs to be activated. Maybe it's the warping system?
