I really hope that you do that shadow-detail direction video. It looks amazing with the Classic tileset, and I would love to experiment with my own tileset that I'm working on and see if it would work with that.

 

I've already released it, but I just currently set to private (and will deleted it) because apparently my friend likes to look at inappropriate material online, and there was a part where I did a google search to correct a spelling, and the browser tends to provide a list of possible url addresses you already visited, and of course, at impulse I said to myself "I better check the video I uploaded, to see what appeared on google, just in case" and I was right with my intuition to make certain, and even though the innappropriate link appears for a split second, if I can pause and see it, anybody can. lol

 

So I'm going to upload a much shorter video, without all the extra stuff and just upload a video of two screens I made.

Has overall pretty good design for a dungeon and what you're going for.

Thanks. It looks better in motion, this dungeon is huge in terms of new gameplay gimmicks.

Three islands finished. (Note that different islands use different palettes, which can't be properly displayed by a map. At any rate, it still looks OK here)

^ Looks pretty simple and cool, I like what's going on up there so far.

 

Both halves of the full new map Amy Rose is going to stumble on in an upcoming quest (this may be large)

 

The very bottom-left section of this map is where the start point of the whole game is.

And here's the other half of the overworld (some parts of these overworlds contain different palettes, so they may not look correct with the overworld palette (0 on this tileset)

I do apologize if this post is way too large, but for this quest the overworld is too small for a 8x16 map. Since both of these maps are horizontally next to each other, the final size is probably 8x32.

Isn't that 16x16 though? Nice stuff, though. Just a bit too body for my taste.

Wait, actually the maps go next to each other on a horizontal line, so the overworld is pretty much 8x32 (horizontal edges being doubled) Derp, I might want to fix that error.

 

Anyways, too body? What do you mean by that?

I meant to say "too boxy" (as in square design), but my autocorrect got the better of it.
