Today, I made of the cheesiest cutscenes I've ever seen. I looked at it and asked myself "Did I really just make this?" I envy the group at Nintendo, who can think of an idea, then get a group to draw all the graphics, a group to write all the dialogue, and a group to string it all together. Works so much better than what I'm doing.

But hey, it's progress, and that's something.

I finally finished my first temple!
Wahoo!!! That officially means about 1/4 of my quest is done!

Two accomplishments today! I started my quest and the development is fast as a result here is a shot:

Yeah it doesn't look like a village but it's in the village and it's the entrance to the intro level I spoke of early today.
But first he needs to find a slingshot win the prize (bombs) at the slingshot mini-game and blast the rocks that are seal the entrance.

Wish I could figure out how to make wizzrobes ignore gravity so I can give you another script.

EDIT: I managed to reach another scripting milestone just now. I wrote over 5 functional scripts which are in the database in the last 24 hours.

Beware! This map will get big it's only showing the screens I finished!
Anyways I found a good theme for my village roo.

Also planned the villain of the game. His name is Seymour, the ancient demon. He will be met at the beginning of the game and can be seen many times throughout the game and will act as the first boss.

Fun Fact: This area is a revision of my first (and horrible (called Journey to the Midnight Castle)) ever quest's Wooden Village. But the gameplay is completely ground up.

After a long break forced by lack of inspiration, I started working on the Shadow Temple, and added a new enemy.

The Floormaster is coming for you! That's right, I made a Floormaster that grabs you, drains health, and splits into 3 regrowing Minimasters. I just love the new enemy editor.

Remade all Oracle sprites into Minish Cap looking ones in 16x16 size. In the way JimmyB/Bourkification was going to do it a while back (in other words, I used his as base). Looks pretty sweet. Still lacks some quality, but I'm already very satisfied what I done so far. I will release them sometime soon.

Also, NTCC is getting more and more playable. Before it was just an empty shell of overworld screens and now interiors are almost completely set, midis are being placed, npcs all over the world who can talk. Enemies should come next, along with other things like cutscenes and storyline things. It is as if I had done nothing before, but the quest is growing so rapidly, suddenly. It's a likable workstyle at this point, but when I was just making overworld screens it became kinda boring.

So that's it.

Final Triforce dungeon complete. Have the final two major dungeons mapped out. Just have to put it into the game, add enemies, and then upload the finished project for one more test before going to the 2.5 vault and begin the classic quest I started on the side.

Edit note: From a rough play after this post was originally put up...I found an error in the ice Palace that will not let you go back because of a missing flag. Will update as soon as possible....8/3/11 710PM

I did a little more of TLKDX today, including arranging the dungeon screens based on my guesses of what Moscow Modder would've did in the orignal. I managed to squeeze levels 1-7 on Map 2, 8 and 9 will be on Map 3. The eta of the next demo is uncertain, but it will be defnatley go up to Level 5. I have some of the Forgotten Forest, a small bit of the Lost Kingdom, the Ocean of Peril, Frozen Wastes, Death Mountain and the new Shikkigami Swamp left to do of the Overworld before I release Demo 2.
