Wait, you know how if Link wins the trophy from the bird, they get a gift from Zelda?
Maybe it's the opportunity to fly through the skies with her, and that's how the tornado starts? icon_eyebrow.gif

1:49. When Girahim went to Link's shoulder and talked, while Link looked shocked, what was SO. EPIC. They've never done that before.

That part reminded me a lot of that scene in TP when Zant partially takes off his mask and whispers in Midna's ear...

This is sort of starting to remind me of a Tales game. I can dig it.

I hope they're not going to do the same thing they did with TP, though. Y'know, releasin' it on a new system before the system it was originally announced for. That bothered me...Then again, is there even talk of this coming to the Wii U?

There's a new 20-minute gameplay video out, and in it it's said that Nintendo has absolutely no intention of delaying it to the Wii U. So Rem, there ya' go.

Also in that video, they were talking about how that was the first dungeon. The first, with 8 heart containers, five bottles, four items? Wow-- this game is going to be dense (either that, or there's only three or so dungeons... but I really don't think that'd happen. Also, it was talked about "dungeons" which implied several). It was also mentioned that this dungeon was relatively easy compared to the later ones; to be honest, I would've been stumped a couple times already (if I had been given time to be stumped while watching the video)!

And, the mid-boss is already doing two hearts worth of damage in a single hit? Man, this game is shaping up to be intense!

Also worth mentioning is the great ambient music the dungeon has. Oh, and the great sound effects that don't hurt my ears! Oh, and Link's manly voice! icon_heh.gif

EDIT: Here's a video that shows off the music and sound effects much better.

Well, it looks like Prospekt's getting his wish; Skyloft does serve as a hub area to get around Hyrule. I gotta say, this all looks pretty cool. Nintendo doesn't disappoint.

Nah, chances are you won't have 8 hearts by the first dungeon. They said the same thing about the giant scorpion from the first trailer- you wouldn't have the Master Sword nor 6 hearts, and that the fight would probably be a bit different.

Also, it wasn't precisely my wish, it was just speculation. :B It does look neat, basically having 2 types of overworlds.

Even more new Skyward Sword stuff:

So, it looks like SS is going to have some alternate dimension. Interesting. This isn't all they said about it, though; there's a tons more new stuff at this article.

Also, AgentLym, I believe Link had all that stuff just because Nintendo wanted to show off the items.

Oh... you may be right. Though, I was under the impression that these demos were ripped straight from the game. :/ I can understand upgraded hearts, however.

And, Prospekt, looks like we get three types of overworlds! XP

From this video, I saw something in the beginning of the Sky Temple dungeon that made me go back to this trailer at 0:32. Notice how that thing looks like the Skull Kid? It's a Skulltula. It's the same thing in the Sky Temple. I am sad. icon_frown.gif

I'm noticing a shield meter, too. Wonder what exactly that monitors. Also, finishing blow from TP returns. Epic. And sword girl seems to act like Midna in a way. PLEASE don't be as annoying as her...

As far as the alternate dimension, anyone else notice the Vessel of Light on the left of the screen while Link's in there? Or at least what looks like one. Now I'm intrigued. The world doesn't really look twilit though, so I don't think it's that... But from that article...
QUOTE
-It’s similar to the normal world, except for a more bluish atmosphere, similar to Hyrule covered in Twilight from Twilight Princess.
-Knowledge of the landscape of the area will help navigate the Siren World version.
-Link can’t use his sword in this world, since he had to leave it in the ground.
-Before leaving, Link must collect tear-shaped items to fill a container on the left of the screen, which looks just like the Vessel of Light from Twilight Princess.
-Collecting an item releases a Guardian.
-Guardians will come after Link, and one hit from them will do him in.
-The tear-shaped items put the Guardians to sleep for a short time, shown on the flower at the top-left corner of the screen.
... More Phantom-like enemies? Great. Well, maybe they'll actually be cooler and different in this kind of environment.

Also, can I just say, that the music is beautiful? That first dungeon's orchestral score is brilliant, and sets a good and creepy mood... Now I'm more psyched than ever...

I think I read somewhere that the meter is how many hits your current shield can take before it's destroyed.

But at one point, the shield meter was all the way down, and he had the Hylian Shield.
-
...Phi? That's what we've been waiting for? I liked Adelle better!
....I'm still calling her that.

And when Link stuck his sword into the ground, and turned blue, I thought he was going to turn little :O

I wish. XD

Anyway, I bet the Hylian Shield is "invincible" so to speak; because it's the strongest shield in the game, it probably can't be broken.

But, the game is also set into an early time period. Maybe they don't know how to make them properly yet, so they can all break.
I like the new circular wooden shield icon_smile.gif

Really? I'd be happy about that. I think it's about time the series had a breakable shield that can only sustain a certain amount of damage.

I've been hoping that ever since they showed the tag line "SHIELDS WILL SHATTER" in one of the early Twilight Princess trailers. They lied... shields did NOT shatter. icon_glare.gif Wooden shields burned, which is not shattering, nor is it anything new to the series.

I'd prefer it if the Hylian Shield would also shatter, albeit much more slowly, and that they'd include the Mirror Shield as the unbreakable shield. It makes more sense, since the Hylian Shield is not supposed to be magical, but the Mirror Shield is.
