Why thank you! I've now only got a few enemies to reskin, some sounds and dungeon palettes left to make, and it'll be available for download.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I know I've been very slow in making this (The game's been out for almost 4 months smh...) and showing off progress. But alas, progress is being made, and that's what counts. I haven't fully resolved the item and enemy situation (There's a lot of sprites I have no idea what to do with in terms of replacements) and the subscreen isn't fully-finished, though combos are pretty much 100% done. And, considering it would be a bit disappointing to only have 3 dungeon tilesets, I've added two extra ones to use in the TV Tower from Board 3! One is based off the unused interior (Basically, blue backstage walls with pink carpet floors) and the other is based on the miniature set seen in one of the unused rooms, but as a whole is based off the Green Room! (And it looks fabulous) So, they should make for good dungeons.

As for other things, I've added conveyor belts, based off their Chapter 2 designs. And while I haven't really decided who/what they'll replace, I have made some custom Hathy/Head Hathy sprites, and edited the second Rudinn sprite into a Rudinn Ranger (for the Darknut replacement). So yeah, pretty much the entire Chapter 1 crew is here. Except King... And Bloxxer. And Rabbick. And Mr. Society. (Okay, not the whole crew's here. But at least you have Rudinns!)

And while they're not all there yet as mentioned previously, a lot of enemies and bosses have been reskinned, with the only missing ones being the Like Like, Dodongo and Wall Master. We have quite the varied picks, from the Weather Duo (Lanino and Elnina) as the two Aquamenti, (With edited hitboxes) Clover DELTARUNE as Gleeok, etc... I won't spoil all of them though, some of them will be a surprise! And for items too, I have King's spade chain as the Hookshot, (Still a WIP in terms of sprite alignments) Susie's Mane Ax as the Hammer, the Camera as the Lens of Truth (Complete with blocks that appear/disappear whether its active or not!) and the FreezeRing as...The Ice Rod, you've guessed it.

So yeah, there's still a lot of work to do, but I'm very excited to finish it so you may use it in your quests, and of course, in one of my own...Who knows? I do, but as for you, you won't yet.

Oh, and I've implemented a proper dialogue box background for strings, like in the actual boards. Cool? Cool.

Development is being a bit slow since I'm more focused on other projects (And I got jumpscared by the Sonic Hacking Contest week and recorded a bunch of videos...) All the dungeon palettes I'll personally make are finished and implemented, enemies are almost done (Only got two bosses left to figure out) and there's only really a few items left for me to find a suitable replacement for. After that, we're pretty much homefree! Expect to be able to start making your own quests with this by Halloween.

And the tileset is done! I'll be submitting it shortly. It doesn't have EVERYTHING I wanted (It's lacking enemy names in the tiles, and no custom Roaring Knight fight, among other things) but it is very usable.

So, while we had a successful release, there are still a lot of things missing I wanted to implement! So, I'll still be working on a 1.1 update to be released sometime this month. (It'll mainly come with ease-of-use additions like enemy names in the tiles, detailed instructions, etc, but I'll also be improving some of the custom bosses like the Watercooler, Tenna, and Titan, and adding some new NPC sprites to use, along with MANCOUNTRY tiles from the Egg room in Chapter 3!) Stay tuned for more.

I'm hard at work on the next update! Enemy names have already been added to the tileset, but I also added unique projectiles for the Weather Duo. I don't see myself updating the tileset after this update unless absolutely necessary.

And Update 1.1 is out right now on Mediafire and Google Drive, and has been submitted to PureZC. It adds enemy labels, the MANCOUNTRY tiles, improves the Watercooler fight and has some other minor improvements.

I've pushed out a minor update to fix the choppy waterfall being non-solid (Whoops) as well as changing Super Bombs into TensionBombs. They now instead cost 1 Bomb and 16 TP to use rather than 3 bombs, which makes them a little more useful (And orange!) Both it and the regular bomb item have now gained pickup dialogue (Though the latter is unused by default as the bomb "item" is automatically given to you in the Init Data, and enemies all drop ammunition.) Expect a few minor updates over the coming weeks/months, as I am finally working on a quest with this! Therefore, it'll get updated if I make any general improvements :P (However, quest-specific changes will remain exclusive to MANTLE.)

Pushed out a small update that adds more accurate water tiles to connect to rivers. You can still use the chonky ones if needed.

I've been developing an original quest with the tileset (As I think I mentioned I'd be doing?) so as a result, naturally I've started adding more features to the tileset, namely new combos. (Like these giant 2x2 trees! Woo!)

I will eventually bring these new tiles to the public release, but given the fact I need to manually add them to the tileset version of the quest file, that will likely happen once I'm done with my overworld, this way I'll be able to implement everything new all at once. Still, if you're using the tileset already and wish to use these right away, feel free to send me a DM and I can send you the relevant tiles.

 

Anyway, have a sneak-peek! (Note: Screen design not final)
