We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story

Hello, Screen Rebirth Friends

Hey! Couple of things are happening in Screen Rebirth World:

• I'm back on board as the co-host of Screen Rebirth. Welcome me back or I will sing the song that separates human souls from their mortal bodies.
• Screen Rebirth 22's base shot will finally be posted after a long hiatus tomorrow evening. Owing to the long delay between contests, it will be a regular Rebirth instead of a Challenge. Screen Rebirth 23 will be a challenge and we'll be reverting to the typical Rebirth, Rebirth, Challenge order.

Just a quick reminder: When submitting to Screen Rebirth, please use the Screen Rebirth Dropbox on the forums or #event-dropbox on Discord. I'll still be accepting submissions posted elsewhere (a recent public submission was moved to the Dropbox), but please try to keep future submissions to those two places in the future so the Screen Rebirth staff can easily find them.

Owing to the fact that Christmas is this week, we'll be postponing Screen Rebirth until next week. The next base screen will be posted on December 29. Apologies for the short notice.

Whoa! New Screen Rebirth announcement!

As Rambly mentioned in last week's contest, skateboarder11 and I will be taking over as Screen Rebirth's hosts going forward. Along with this change, there's going to be a few tweaks to the contest format going forward.

• We're doing away with special challenges for the time being and focusing purely on the rebirth challenges this contest was originally known for. If there's widespread demand they could come back in the future but for now they seem more difficult both to design and to submit to.
• In their place we'll be occasionally posting base screens in other tilesets besides Classic.
• The restriction against making screens in the same tileset as the base screen has been lifted. This is more of a formality as I don't think it was ever really being enforced to begin with, but we're welcoming screens from all tilesets. Just doing something to set your screen apart from the base screen is enough.

I'll be doing my best to carry on in the footsteps of Rambly, Hubydweyer, and all other past Screen Rebirth hosts. Just please forgive me if I slip back into old habits and call it "Screenshot: Challenge Accepted" occasionally.

Hey everyone. Screen Rebirth 33 will be delayed a week as we didn't get the required three submissions to put up a poll. It kinda crept up on me because of the quest contest and I suspect it was the same for others. Post you submissions in the dropbox here on the forums or in the event dropbox Discord channel at your earliest opportunity if you're able. Rain or shine the poll's going up next week so see you all then!
