NIDORAN F PLS HERGISWI
I moved it here because it's literally "LET'S ALL PLAY".
IDK why I love this so much.

PureZC heals up at a Pokemon center. Triumphantly, we go north to Route 2. Here we catch...

A Nidoran F! The majority of you seemed to support this idea, dodging a perpetual Metapod named Dong (though that is absolutely hilarious). Luckily, the jackassery lives on and Dankey will be our last ditch effort against Brock.
We make our way into the Viridian Forest. Among the grass and trees are scattered trainers, all of whom are hoping to impress us with their underleveled Caterpies. We make our way through the winding paths, encountering Pokemon after Pokemon on the way. Nearing the end, we find ourselves down our knees, pleading to the skies: "Why are there so many fucking caterpillars here?!" But we can't give up; our exit is blocked by one final trainer who should have a Butterfree but decided against letting his Pokemon evolve! We take him down and leave, finally seeing some new scenery and sunlight.
We've finally made it to Pewter City! PureZC heals up at the Pokemon center, making the mistake of listening to Jigglypuff sing and putting PikaPee to sleep:

Some guy seems intent on taking us to the museum, but we have no time for shenanigans. We have a gym badge to obtain! We enter the gym and HonkeyPig does a surprisingly good job taking out the trainer. His response to us beating him is to take out his sexual frustration on us:

Now it's time for Brock! As you can see in the video here, this is essentially leading lambs to slaughter:
But alas, Dankey pulls through and takes down the rock Pokemon with ease. We've earned a gym badge and a TM! Here are our current stats after healing up:

Now, here's where I want things to get a little interesting. We're all on this website because we like customizing and making things that go against the norms of Zelda. So, I'd like to use gym leader TMs as an opportunity for the same thing in this run. HonkeyPig, as you may have noticed in the video, doesn't have a lot of good moves right now. Let's help her out! I need you guys to pick any Gen I move, whether Nidoran F learns it naturally or not, and we'll teach it to her via Gameshark. Any move at all.
We also have the potential to acquire two more Pokemon before Cerulean city. We could technically include the area north of Cerulean in this list, but for now, we're going to limit ourselves to Routes 3 & 4 and Mt. Moon. Here are our options:
-Rattata
-Spearow
-Sandshrew
-Mankey
-Zubat
-Clefairy
-Paras
-Geodude
Some of you may also remember that there's a PokeCenter outside of Mt. Moon where we have the option to buy a Magikarp. Since it's not wild, it's possible for us to get 2 Pokemon here if you guys decide you want to buy it. If you say we should, make sure to provide a nickname! Finally, we're going to get ourselves a little reward at the end of Mt. Moon. I need to know whether to pick up the Helix Fossil or the Dome Fossil.
Here's a summary of what we need for the next update:
-Any Gen I move for HonkeyPig
-New Pokemon w/nickname
-Yes/No on Magikarp
-Nickname for Magikarp if Yes
-Choice of fossil (Helix/Dome)

I vote for Helix fossil, but you can't get any other water pokemon and have to use the Omanyte when you get him.
It also has to be named Meatspin.
I'm not necessarily opposed to this idea, but we definitely need somebody to use surf to get to Cinnabar Island in the first place. I could teach it to Pikachu since that's technically not illegal with the help of Pokemon Stadium.

1. I'll say to give the Nidoran F Razor Leaf. It would be good against Misty I guess, and I kinda just chose from random.
2. Get a Zubat and name it "Keese" B)
3/4. Yes on Magikarp and call it "2weak4me" (even though it does become a bad ass when it evolves...)
5. I can't decide on this one honestly ![]()

Helix Fossil is love. Helix Fossil is life.
Also I'd say to try to catch a Sandshrew because why not
.
Edit: Forgot to say this but buy dat magikrap.

I've never used one.
Name it Diggersby.

There is no Razor Leaf TM in Gen 1. The only Grass TMs are Mega Drain and Solarbeam.
Anyway, not really providing too much feedback here, but hell yeah to the Magikarp. Best $500 spent in the game. It taught me a valuable life lesson; never judge a book by its cover. As for the nickname, I don't know.

Catch a Jigglymapuff and name it TeeKay! xD

I know, but Hergiswi did say he would teach his Pokemon ANY move from Gen I via Gameshark
(unless it isn't possible for moves that aren't TMs)

PureZC uses his newly acquired TM on HonkeyPig to teach her:
Razor Leaf! Alongside Double Kick, this abomination could single-handedly take on Mt. Moon.
Ready to leave Pewter city, our hero heads for Route 3, a place full of sexual deviants who are obsessed with looking at and touching each other:

I don't care what you say, anyone that obsessed with shorts has some sort of kink going on.

We take out the slew of trainers, most of whom are still trying to win using unevolved bugs. As we make our way towards Mt. Moon, we come to a PokeCenter. Inside, a man has a proposition for us. For just $500, we can purchase a Magikarp. Should we do it? Of course we should! I forgot to take a screenshot because I'm a jackass, but the Magikarp is level 5. Since we didn't realize that you can't use numbers in a name in Pokemon Gen 1, a quick survey on IRC has decided to nickname it: "tuba." An awkward name* for an awkward Pokemon.
We enter Mt. Moon, fighting every trainer through the swarm of Zubats. In the midst of this, we find a Sandshrew! Again, I forgot to take a screenshot, so I apologize. However, I did take a screenshot of Pikachu's reaction to this catch:
Since we didn't catch a Jigglypuff, the Sandshrew has been honorarily nicknamed "TeeKay." During our excavation of Mt. Moon, we greatly increase our item inventory, even picking up a few TMs. Among the most exciting occurences is that our HonkeyPig evolves into a Nidorina! It's only fitting that in Mt. Moon we should pick up a MOON STONE, and we do just that. At any point, you guys say the word and we'll evolve our HonkeyPig into her final form: Nidoqueen!
After a few trips back to the PokeCenter, we come to the main attraction: the fossils. Here is our triumphant battle with Super Nerd:
